I will be creating a thread/archive of memorable threads primarily from the Tavern, Support and Suggestions, and Popular Media. I will not be accepting politically or religiously charged or controversial threads from WEPR because those discussion never die and aren't very Armor Gamesy. All other sections will be considered, except for AMW, which will have its own memorable thread archive.
Here are a few criteria for selection: - Must not be active - Must not be exclusive - Must not be your own - Must be memorable
The thread will be created at a later date. It doesn't have a name yet, so feel free to suggest names. Also, please link to the thread(s) you are nominating.
We go through a half year or so of mad activity, then activity falls, then it peaks, then it falls, and each time, some users stay. That's how you get a community. We'll have another surge of people. And when we do all the people still here from the past peaks will complain about how annoying the new comers are. It's how it works.
yeah i have been here a while... and i guess i have noticed this trend. And i haven't been very active over the past year but it seems like its been relatively dead for a while.
I still have TTICA's topic history lying around somewhere, but I can't be bothered with it.
i remember looking at the entire history of it. Keeping track of that was interesting. I guess you kind of keep statistics on everything don't you?
The last four are about as memorable as Justin Bieber hate threads.
Users apparently have been complaining about 'ghost' accounts since... forever. I've never been on a site where people complain about such insignificant things and then get all nostalgic about yesterday. I'm not really surprised this forum is rather quiet now. It's a like a phoenix that lives for six months and got tired of dying so it stayed dead.

I guess I'm the only one who has vivid memories of these commonly-themed threads. They are pretty hilarious, but maybe not memorable to anyone who didn't participate in them at the time.

They're so repeatable though. Those are the threads that will be needed when AG3 comes out so we have some sort of conversation.
Gantic, after making the thread, do you plan on saving the threads in case the forums are wiped?
i don't really care about the old threads. they are great memories, but i don't see a problem with a clean slate.
Man, GoM gave the greatest explanation for this the other day but I can't find his post.
Here's a condensed version: If the forums are wiped clean, veterans will leave. You might not, but there will be some who will leave irregardless. Also, that gives us the stickied threads that have no point to post on, and the threads that newbies make that are repeatable and are often locked for duplicates.
I guess it makes sense. AG3 is so far off. And i have hear little from the admins about what the community is going to be like. They might transfer it, who knows?
I have no plans of saving any of these threads. If any of these forums are to be saved, the administration should decide to transfer them over to the new forum or archive this one.
