I was looking to trade in my wii eventually but after i saw the price to trade in i thought i would hold off. Here's why Wii system normal warl with all the orginal stuff only brings a return of $6.80 Call of Duty Mw3 normal wear and all orginal stuff brings $10.50
Now how is a game worth more than a system but the turn around and sell the system for $70
Free Market Capitalism. The game company has to make a profit, so they'll buy your Wii for whatever price they want to. Don't like it? Try another game store. If you're really desperate for money, you'll find a good offer with hard work. Don't hate a company just because they're trying to make a profit.
Oh yes, the all powerful GameStop. Where they sell you [insert game] for $60 but when you go to sell it they offer $15, while the game is in perfect condition. You might as well just keep it if they're going that low.
Hahahahahaha, silly people who still go to Gamestop! I've had the experience before. You buy it for 70$ when it comes out, sell it back for <20 and then go back and find out they're selling the used copy for 55$! I found a mush better store that runs almost completely off used games, all good condition, and very cheap prices. I don't have to deal with that anymore.

Mind you, Gamestop has to make a profit. That's only thirty dollars of profit for their store you're talking about, enough to hire an employee for four-odd hours (probably less). You're not there to "exchange" games, you're there to get a little savings on your new purchases. Why do you think all their rewards center around buying used games? It's where all the profit comes from; none of the $55 dollars spent on a re-sold game goes to the developer or publisher. If you don't like it, then don't do business with GameStop.
Mr. BRAAINZz over here is doing the correct thing and simply moving his location of business, rather than complain about his problem. Well done sir, well done. ^_^
well a couple of months ago me and my bro were going to gamestop to sell 16 games to help pay for another Xbox, one of them was cracked so i'll subtract that, 15 at and we have some sort of special membership for a year and so we get 50% (i think) extra for trading in used games, 13 were PS2 games and one Xbox game (assassin's creed 2) and they offered us a woppin $28/14, i later looked on Ebay and going for like the minimum that they were going for we could sell them for about $125 so yeah they really don't need that much profit. and my friend got a nintendo DS with some games with it, one of them was the original final fantasy (which may or may not have been played before) so she played that for a little and didn't like it so she went to gamestop to trade it in for money and they gave her like $10/15 then they were selling an unused one for like $70/90
90 dollars for a DS game. Somebody is over-exaggerating. Sometimes I like to walk into Gamestop, look at prices on hit games, check Steam to see the sale price, then laugh and leave.

Ah, Steam. I would use it more, but for some reason, it didn't work with a game I downloaded on it. I'm not sure if it's Direct X or whatever, but I'm just annoyed.
(Pardon if I don't make sense, it's about 2:00 A.M. here.)
Gamestop is good only for buying used games. When a game comes out, for example MW3, its $50 new. ($60 for the really popular games) if you wait a month and a half, you can buy a used version in perfect (or near perfect) condition for $40 or even $35. I never return popular games, because often after i get bored with it, i will come back to it in 3 weeks or so and start playing it again.
