I attempted to log in maybe 15 minutes ago with the username and password I've been using since forever, but strangely the site informed me with the little red box of doom that my username and password combination could not be found. I tried entering the same password about 5 more times, each time typing the individual letters more carefully, but every time I got the same message.
I was under the impression that this was just another aggravating glitch, but at the same time I was worried something had happened to my account; so I reset my password (except I reset it to the same password as before) and I attempted to log in again. It still did not work. I realized the problem must have been with that password, so I reset it entirely and attempted to log in one more time. My heart was racing at this point, but I was able to log in using this new password (hallelujah).
Now, as an AG veteran/enthusiast/dangerous addict, not being able to log in can be quite traumatizing. What exactly did I experience, and am I going to have to go through all that again?
THANK YOU!!!! I have been trying to log back in, could not. I reset my password back to what it was originally, and (obviously) I could log in again. I did update my About recently, maybe that does have something to do with it.
This happend to me and well ya I tried to do my password 5 times then I was still loggen in on my Ipad so I changed the password on there and then I came back to my computer then my password worked so I changed the password back to my old password and it worked again so hopefully I'm always logged in on my Ipad because if you have the username and then click forgot your password and then your E-mail well that never works for me.

So one day i entered my profile and saw that i wasnt logged in. I wrote up the password and the username and it said that the combo of my password and username was not correct so i couldnt log in. I started getting worried after the fifth time i tried to log in. I entered the colony game to look for some nice ag users who would help. Guesty9999 and scorpian341 were nice to me and tried to help me. All of their tips didnt help so i started crying (crying very loud) so i told guesty9999 to put in my profile that i cannot log in and close up my comments. It was like 4:00 in the morning and my mom suddently woke up and didnt allow me to go to the comp for 2 days as a punishment. The 2 days passed i entered the profile on my iPad and what i saw? I was automatticly logged in as always and now i can finally tell the issue. I was about to make a new account and tell mods and admins how mad i am lol
I decided to test and see what causes the problem, so I conducted some major and minor changes to my profile to see if I could get the glitch to occur.
Since Matrix mentioned something about the SteamID, I decided to start there and see if I could make the problem replicate itself.
I went into Control Panel, and found my username in the SteamID (like always), so I erased it and replaced it with the letter G.
When I hit update, firefox popped up with a message, asking me if I wanted to replace my current password for G (Why it asked, I have no idea.) I hit no, logged out, then logged back in without a problem. So I tried it again, this time replacing G with AG. When firefox asked this time, I went ahead and hit change password, logged out and tried to log in, then the problem appeared.
I recommend users not to mess with the SteamID on their profile to avoid the problem.
I'm assuming this is yet another unintended consequence of a fix. For a while, you couldn't change your password at all. Now that you can, you need to reset your password.

Umm... im not sure thats necesarry anymore. After this glitch happened, people seem to be ok when they could log in agian. Forexample ive never reset my password and look at me. I am completely fine when i could login back agian.
