I bought many toys for my computers over the years and I don't include the computers (9) and laptops (3).

I made a list of my favorite ones.

1- ADVC 100 by Canopus
http://dv411.com/canopusadvc100.html#specs

I bought it to digitize my VHS movies to DVD.
The version I have was purchased on the Internet and it has a button to disable the Macrovison (crap used to prevent making copies). I even used to record movies or shows from Hulu by connecting my two computers and recording on the 2nd one.
That was a great device. I still have the original box and accessories.

2- Fusion HDTV 3 QAM gold from Dvico
http://www.dvico.com/products_mul_hd3.html

I used it to capture HD videos from cable over the air.
I had a great time with this toy!

3- ION Turntable
http://www.ionaudio.com/products/details/ttusb

I bought it to digitize my vinyls via USB on my computer.
It comes with a free editing software to help remove scratches, pops, clicks and background noise.

4 - HD PVR by Hauppauge
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html

Even better than my ADVC 100! It can record HDTV straight to my computer and the quality is amazing! My favorite toy so far!

5 - WD Live TV Hub
http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=570

I can watch TV online, play games, watch my own videos, play my music, look at pictures, etc.

Here's my next gadget I want to buy!

Okay that's it! What's your favorite computer toy?

Get the Hauppauge HD-PVR for about $300 instead. It is compatible with PC and Mac BTW.

It is supposed to be for Pickpocket who is lacking in money. So if he buys that, he would have $100 left. He might be able to get a nice case...but nothing inside it.

The hauppauge is what I want. It the mother of game capture. I'm also considering Elgato. That comes second and I will buy that with my money.
I have disscussed this with my parents and they will pay for the laptop. Once again, as a gift. I feel that 400 is a round number. 600 would be pushing it.
And ace, it's not for flash games. It's for cod. The software they allow you to use only uploads 30 second clips to YouTube. If you get a capture card, you can record as much as you want and edit things better.

Kindle fire..

Why Kindle? Why not some other E-Reader? What do you like about it?

Why not a multi-functional tablet with E-Reading capabilities?

Before you buy it, try Fraps. It tends to work? Or is Fraps the thing that is making you record only 30 seconds?

I got the best deal. I bought an Itomic E-Reader for 1/10 of the Kindle Fire price. I've already read 3 books and I'm happy with it.
No problems so far.

Tobii Eye-Tracking
The Powerbag
Water Charger
The OCZ Z Drive R5

Some of them aren't exactly computer gadgets, but useful things relating to technology.

Elgato is better as most stuff now had hdmi and its just one wire rather then a component cable which is like 5 mashed together.

@pickpocket you can get windows expression encoder trial for free its like fraps but you can change what it records and you can do up to 10 minute sections with the trial.

Pickpocket have you even looked into Hypercam, or Camstasia? They can record as long as you want. Hypercam being free, but Camstasia has a free trial of 30 days or more I believe.
