Dear all Mod and Ad who have time to read and reply this thread, (and yeh, i ll never "dear" those who inactive or do not wanna care about this post- the one that helping AG to improve more by pointing its bug +_+)
These days AG always annoys me by this bug: i comment and post in forum so much , but my AP is so slowly upgraded, and then later suddenly have a heap of AP come XD, but i still wanna see ma AP come right after i comment +_+
I think the AP is a distinctive way and method of AG to show how active the users are, and as in 1 of Cormyn's forum post, AP is also an important factor to choose a Mod rite? SO HEY, HOW COME U GUYS CAN LET AP BE COUNTED SOOOO INACCURATELY RECENTLY AND DUN GIVE A SH!T ABOUT IT???
Soooo,here r some Qs for Mod and Ad (any1 else is welcomed to answer me, but i made these Qs especially for Mod and Ad, the ones who have the authority to fix bugs in AG) do u experience this bug these days?
and how will u solve this problem as a Mod or Admin?
And is this bug related to the plan of changing AG v2, giving it many updates to make AG bcome better- but if yes, then come on, all these effort make this site WORSE +_+
P/S: I dun mean to hate AG, but this problem must be fixed coz not only me, too many other guys also complain too much about this bug (i intended to list them here but maybe u Mod and Ad alr see their complain about this bug +_+)
This bug is annoying, but very easy to get around. Just update your profile and then do something that gives you AP (without breaking any rules of course). You should see your AP updated.
@Ernie: tks for ur help, but actually I alr did this method and it works sometimes, but other times didnt, and after a while, i saw a heap of AP come, but come on, i cannot remember wat i did yesterday so if there r any missed AP, i couldnt know about it lah XD And i think this bug will most likely make the AP count bcome inaccurately and the likelihood of losing AP is high +_+
There r many other bugs, like the latest one about logging in AG, but this bug seems fixed alr, and I DO HOPE this bug about AP will be fixed SOON- it s definitely better to see ur AP come right after u comment than wait the days after and see a heap of AP come without knowing whether it is the correct amount of AP u deserved or not rite?
@xeano321: u seems dun read my post carefully, I said that i still get AP, but dunno if it is the correct amount i deserved or not, and sometimes it takes a whole day to see the changing of AP lah +_+
I cared about AP for around my first 100-200 points. Then I saw that changing ranks did nothing but unlock some unappealing armatars and give me a slightly more noteworthy icon under my name and post count.
It's not a big deal that it doesn't update quickly, and it's not even going to be around for much longer. Truthfully, if they're going to fix anything it should be the forums not updating. With AGv3 right around the corner I doubt they care much for the AP system.
Also, does it -really- matter if you AP updates a second after a post, or a day? Watching it go up from that is like watching the grass grow, if that interesting.

You can calculate your AP by how many times you have rated a game, made a comment, posted in the forums, and how games you submitted, and how many merits you have. Take a look at the AP value for each, then check your count for forum posts, comments, ETC.. and do the math. Your AP should come out the same.
You decided to post all of your thoughts into this thread, but why copy and paste half the message to the moderation team (who aren't capable of fixing bugs, only alerting to the admins and suggesting ways to get around them) as well as many different people you talk to?
--If you have to swear, let the site censor it for you. We treat swear words partly covered up by random symbols worse behavior than multiple swear words fully censored.
--You say AP is to show how active the users are. This is fine; AP does do this. However, there is a difference between being active and spamming messages across profiles to promote pseudo-active behavior. If you earn your AP the correct way (not excessively spamming), then your AP will stay put much longer and you'll find your total sloping up higher.
He's right though; I noticed on some forum posts that their rank is X, while their profile still inputs their rank as Y. I'm glad Boppins is fixing it up later though.
