Both artists are different in all their ways... =/
But if I had to choose one of the two, I'd say One Direction. Their music appeals more to me and I detest the whole Bieber Fever that has been going on, not to mention his drooling style of music and whatnot related to his person...

To be honest, I like neither of them. I've only listened to maybe five songs of JB and only three songs of 1D, which is not a reasonable basis for an opinion. However, thanks to the radio I've listened to those songs more than my brain is capable to resist, so when one of their songs come on the radio, I'm forced to switch the station. The only "good" thing I can say about 1D is that their singles are pretty catchy, so I understand why certain people like them. Whoever is writing those songs is doing a really good job to make them popular.
Sorry, but I'm almost positive 1D would win there. At least 1d uses instruments.

Not a wise move comparing classical music with pop. Not a fair comparison.
Bieber can sing, but he's a complete sellout. Not to say One Direction isn't either, but their music tends to have a more pleasant melody and they don't try to capture genres that they clearly can't handle.
