Be Warned: This is mildly lengthy. Are you manly enough to read it all?

======================================================

I've decided to go ahead and be very original in the naming of my RPG by taking two letters off the "Unnamed RPGs" thread's name But alas that's beside the point. Let's get down to business, which is that I've obviously decided to go ahead and make a RPG. Now I'd bet you'd like to know what this RPG will be all about, right? Ah well since you insist I'll go ahead and explain this RPG to you my fellow AG gamers.

This RPG shall be about controlling a mythological creature (like a Sphinx) and creating this aforementioned creature and guiding it through a storyline and scenarios that I give you. The choice is yours as to what creature you would like to be. You know what? As a matter of fact it doesn't even have to be a mythological creature, you may be anything you please to be at all. You can be a human, a wolf, a dragon, a sea monster or even a horsefly (I don't recommend that last option because it sounds quite boring). I don't mind you guys choosing your own creatures as long as you aren't unrealistic or silly about it, for example don't say this: I'm a 10'000 foot tall T-Rex that shoots lasers out of my eyes and fire out of my bum as well as the fact that I have impenetrable skin, blah blah blah etc... Otherwise I'll just ignore what you said and move on to the next logical post

Here are a few other things you may also want to know, you can choose between these scenarios for your character to play in:

Realistic RPG (you need food to survive, and sleep to survive, it's also easier to die seeing as how your decisions will get you killed if you're silly or choose a poor option) or you can choose the game to be a little more unrealistic (you don't need to worry about food, water, and all that other bothersome junk to live (that doesn't mean you can go a decade without food), and it's harder to die, meaning the decisions you make are less likely to kill you etc...). So basically choose between easy mode or hard mode.

You may also choose between these type of worlds for your character to live in:

- War ravaged
- Medieval
- Mythological
- Prehistoric
- Fantasy

Or you may suggest one yourself, and if I approve you may live in it.

Now I suppose I should tell you guys you need a character sheet, so here are a few examples:

Difficulty: Realistic (Hard)
Scenario: A modern day society
Character type: Wolf
Character Description: Average height for wolf, magnificent blood red fur, keen eyes, muscular etc...
Name: Grrrht (English translation from wolf speech: Keen One)
Bio: Optional
Mythological Creatures: No
Perk: Fast
Body: Prime of my life

Here is another example:

Difficulty: Unrealistic (easy)
Scenario: Fantasy, Medieval type of country side (untamed country)
Character Type: Sea monster!
Name: Sentios Manios Lentia
Character Description: A 300 foot tall sea serpent with massive spikes jutting out of my neck, I am 20 feet wide and my tail is spiked like a club.
Bio: My name is Sentios Manios Lentia, I am used to living in the depths of the sea, fighting for my life with fierce creatures of the depth. I fear nothing and live to fight!
Mythological Creatures: Obviously since I am one!
Perk: Ability to blast sheets of ice out of my mouth (like a dragon does with fire!)
Body: Mediocre

Last Example:

Mode: Realistic
Scenario: Modern day Zombie Apocalypse
Character: Man
Name: Tony
Bio: Optional
Past Occupation: Firefighter
Height: 6 foot tall
Weight: 205 pounds
Misc Details: (hair colour, eye colour etc...)
Mythological Creatures: N/A for any choices with man as your character AND modern day as a scenario
Perk: Agile
Body: Fit

Important Notes For (you really should read this):

Descriptions: Include as much as you like into the description, but make it enough for me to be able to adequately tell how you look.
Bio: Helps me determine your storyline.
Scenario: This just determines the type of environment and creatures you'll be around. If you choose prehistoric, expect prehistoric animals to be in the gameplay (duh).
Mythological creatures: All I need is a yes or no. If you choose yes be warned that any and every manner of creature may be in your storyline (unless you request for specific types of creatures like Dragons not to be not to be).
Character: What animal are you going to be, a human, dinosaur, sea monster, goblin, ogre, orc, dragon etc...
Body: How healthy and athletic are you
Perk: Be reasonable, if you choose invincible I'll rechoose it for you.

Ah yes I almost forgot this, lastly, but not least is the example of the scenarios you will receive (I request that you post your character sheet in every comment by the way):

Example:

Mode: Realistic
Scenario: Modern day Zombie Apocalypse
Character: Man
Bio: Optional
Past Occupation: Fireman
Height: 6 foot tall
Weight: 205 pounds
Misc Details: (hair colour, eye colour, and name, which is a must etc...)
Mythological Creatures: N/A for any choices with man AND modern day as a scenario
Perk: Agile
Body: Fit

"Tony! Hurry up, this building is coming down on top of us, we have maybe ten minutes!" Bellowed one of Tony's co-workers inside of the inferno of what was once called "Hyatt's Hotel" in downtown Detroit. "Yea, I know, just give me a moment," hollered Tony back to his co-worker kicking down the door in his path trying to get to the person on the other side of the door. For there had to be person on the other side, Tony could hear the murmuring of a man! As Tony rushed in he dived out of the way of falling masonry that was ablaze from the ceiling above him and was shocked to see a man lounge towards him. The man was missing half the fingers of his left hand, from a... bite?

Options:

1. Go towards the man and try to help him out of the building.
2. Say "insert phrase here"
3. Ask the man "are you alright!?"
4. Your choice

When choosing an option please copy paste that as well as your character sheet into your post. Thanks in advance

NOTE: You may gain perks after a while or evolve your characters. If you're a human you may grow taller, or run faster, or be stronger etc... After a while I'll evolve (upgrade) your character automatically or give it a perk after a few pages or a reasonable time-lapse.

NOTE: There are clans that you will encounter in this RPG, meaning that some creatures hunt and fight in packs (some don't though)

P.S. I may add rules and updates for this RPG, when I do so it'll be labeled as follows (and every post will be in every post I make):

Attention, Update!

Three people only right now, each player MUST choose a different character (different species) in their character sheet. It is first come first serve. If you would like to join a wait list please message my profile. If a player dies the next person in the wait list shall join the game, or if a player goes inactive for about 48 hours (two days) without warning the next player in a wait list shall be able to take over or make a new character.

One perk only, we'll say you're advanced with using pistols ;D Anyways, here we go:

You awaken in your home, get up take a shower and get dressed in your usual work clothing (suit) and prepare your breakfast before leaving for work. As you're driving through the usual early morning traffic jam in Detroit you turn on the radio and hear of a fire at the Hyatt hotel in downtown Detroit and an odd story of a fire fighter that was attacked, who claims that a man tried to maul and bite through his firefighting suit. You think to yourself that an arsonist may have caused the fire and decide to...

1. Head over to the Hyatt Hotel to investigate the scene.
2. Ignore the fire and head to over to the FBI office.

Scenario: War-torn sci-fi home-planet (five superpowers)
Character: Male Feline huminoid (explained below)
Name: Shadowflare
Bio: Shadowflare's family has a long-line of military troops in all branches. However, a sniper round to his father's jaw, and his mother's fighter exploding due to a QAAM missile, marked him an orphan. Six long years followed before he could join the service
Height: 6'2

Mythological Creatures: No, this is more of a sci-fi.
Perk: Agile

The Imairan, Imair in singular, is a feline race related to the cat and the Human. Basic principles like politics, war, and law have been adapted and advanced faster than Human society. (Less war, more honest politicians, etc.) The children are named after personality or fur color. Family members are identified through a color code on certain places of the body, with an emblem on that colored part of the body. (Shadowflare has a Blue uniform, as said before, and a red flare on his heart) There are five super-powers, vying for power. The Terran, a dictator regime. Their military wears red. The Vanu, a Totalaritarian Monarchy. Their military wears purple. The New Conglomerate, a United States-like democracy. Their military wears blue. The United Brater Kingdoms, a Constitutional Monarchy. Their military wears green. And finally, the Union of Sovar, a Socialist Democracy. Their military wears yellow. The Terran live a Martian-like desert. The Vanu is Cosmopolitan country. Their cities run all the way to their national borders, and half the residencies are empty. The New Conglomerate have an isolated Urban feel. Their growth is measured by how it effects the enviroment. The education system is very explicit when it comes to teaching the young that nature is what defines everything, as well as their surroundings. A Daoism, excluding the religious parts of it. The UBK have more of a British rural feeling to them. The towns are small and modest, but are high in numbers. So, the economy dictates the education. The young are taught a certain degree of economics. It is their choice to further their education in economics, or find a different field of expertise. Finally, the UoS have a farmer's feel. This doesn't change much of society except for the country feeling and accents of the inhabitants. So, the land is relatively mountainous, but the valleys provide excellent places to farm. The Vanu and Terran have more territory due to their focus on military and early days of conquering other countries during the Napoleonic age of Imairans. The Vanu and Terran are allied, because of their similarities, they've decided that they can split the world, if they happen upon conquering the other nations. The NC, UBK, and UoS are allied because of the same reason, excluding world domination. The reason why these countries hadn't battled it out already? The UN, yes they named it the same thing, was a counter-measure to expansion. So, if the Terran were to attack the NC, all nations, including the Vanu, would be compelled to attack the Terran. As for the increase in war, well, most of it is caused by a dispute about Humans. The Vanu and Terran believe the Imairans should intervene with the Humans, allowing the UN to decide what to do with them. However, the NC, UBK, and UoS want to leave the Humans to fend for themselves and mature in society and technological evolution. The UN's results in voting was... Troubling. It was a neutral decision. Which meant that their would need to be another set of voting. This would only result in the same thing. So, the Vanu and Terran attacked simultaniously. How long this has been going on you ask? 30 years...

@trooper When you say the Vanu and Terran attacked simultaneously, do you mean they're attacking another country right now? If so which? That is what I need to know before starting your storyline.

And I must say that is quite the intricate bio :P

1. Head over to the Hyatt Hotel to investigate the scene

As you head over to the Hyatt hotel you come within two blocks of it when you start glancing around you actually paying attention to your surroundings and begin to frown as you see about 1 in 3 people passed out on the sidewalk or screaming in withering agony and you also see ambulances rushing past you, their sirens wailing and the medics getting out to assist the people on the sidewalks, "what the hell is going on here," you mutter as suddenly your government issued radio goes off and you hear what sounds like a fire alarm going off, except the notes are to high for it to be the fire alarm. An automated robotic voice starts to say "Attention all agents, code Baron" and then it's repeating itself over and over. "Oh, no... It can't be code Baron," you say, your face going pale. Code Baron, that's the code for a large scale biological attack on America!" You immediately...

1. Follow protocol and take out a clear circular gadget from your glove compartment that flashes red and blue (like a cop car) and place it on the top of your car so you can go to work and have the other vehicles get out of your way faster.
2. Ignore radio and the people on sidewalks and keep on going to the Hyatt hotel.

All three free countries. They have larger countries, therefore larger armies and more resources.

Yeah, I didn't have much up my sleeve when it came to a military bio besides orphan or lost loved one.

As you follow protocol and race down the roads towards your FBI office building other car drivers act erratically, you think the same thing is probably wrong with them as are with the people on the street. As cars are swerving through the lanes and all hell is breaking loose you notice some kids vandalizing and breaking into stores, taking advantage of the confusion. The side of your car gets nailed by a mini van as you pass through an intersection, several blocks from the FBI office. You curse as your car goes spinning and you come to a thudding halt as you hit an apartment building. You feel fine and uninjured, but enraged that you were hit and your radio seems broken, you decide to...

1. Keep with protocol and run the rest of the way to the FBI office.
2. Give the other driver a piece of your mind, yelling profanities at him.

"Arrghh," you yell crying in pain as a shell lands some distance away from you. The shell blast throws you backwards into a building. As you start to sit up groggily you think, what's going on. You're on military leave and the city you're in right now is being bombed. Bombed!! You can see fighter airplanes and bomber airplanes shooting the hell out of your city, you can't quite see the insignia's on the enemy planes, but you think it is safe to say that it is Vanu or Terran. "Where's our army," you hear citizens crying out. You wonder the same thing. Shouldn't have our radars or border patrols caught these plans and stopped them before they got close to a city? Where's the UN you also wonder? As havoc unfurls within your city you notice the bomber aircraft's leave and paratroopers start to descend out of the sky, from a distance you can hear a convoy of trucks, military trucks enter the city (probably not your own). You decide to do...

A) Your choice

Story: The Vanu and Terran have attacked suddenly, destroying a large portion of your city, any military bases or at least 30 km away, you have no reason to believe they're coming in to your aid. Then again you don't know that they aren't coming. What you do know is that you're being invaded. Your country wasn't expecting this.

Update: I have decided to add items into your character sheet.

The map of North America.
http://i.imgur.com/n0fZX.jpg

As the President was killed during a trip in Nevada, the counter espionage forces discovered a secret cabal made of the governors of the eastern states planning to overthrow the American Government. A war quickly started, due to the forces of Russia, who was behind the organization. The remaining states got help from half of the European Union, while the other half, minus Germany (allied with Russia) fighted an attack from New Zealand and China. The Asian plains soon became dead lands, while the older terrorist forces and those of Jugoslavia and various other states from Africa created another military force, this time driven mostly by religious hate and by the need to escape the conditions of poverty and slavery.

So, the forces are:

New European Union,or NEU ( now with half of America too)
Russian alliance (Russia, other half of America, Germany)
Southern Army (Africa, eastern mediterranean states, like Afghanistan,Iran...)
Modern Shogunates (China, Japan, New Zealand)

Accepted?

Ooops, I forgot to talk about South America.

During what is now called Operation Doomsday, a Southern Army commando managed to redirect the Russian nuclear missiles going to destroy half of Europe into South America, turning the place into a deserted wasteland inhabited only by bandits, raiders, and madmen.

(no Fallout things, just a destroyed land.)

There's nothing I can do for the civilians, there's no news of the location of a military extraction. I attempt to return to the base I was stationed in.
