Is it really right to hurt an innocent animal for any reason at all? I personally think that anyone that does this should be arrested and, depending on the severity of the abuse, be put in jail for anywhere between 5-30 years. What do you think the punishment should be (if any)?
Well i'd be willing to bet this topic exists...but i haven't been around long enough to know...so i'll post anyway.
I will say that i do think there should be punishments(as there are). That being said, not to be an a-hole, i don't think it should be as severe as human-human crimes. I think the laws are fine where they are...you can get put in jail for a goood long time as long as your not a celebrity with a really really really good lawyer. (*cough*michael vick)
Every time I see like Animals Cops on Animal Planet...I really almost want to cry. It is awful to see how people can have the ability to hurt a creature that can't even talk for itself! Sometimes I consider being an animal cop.
I'm on the same page. I just don't understand how people can hurt and abuse animals that have nothing wrong. People do get arrested for it, but for not as long as they should be in jail for. I wish people could settle there anger in more constructive ways.
But I think that since people would do that, they should not go to jail for about 5-30, but maybe 5-10 and pay and HUGE fine for what they did, maybe 4000 dollars, 3000 dollars.
You should only kill an animal if you are in a survival situation ,and absolutely need food. And try to kill it as fast, and painless as possible.
But I think that you should be sentenced even more than humans, because the animal can't tell you what the evil human has done to them. So they have to do lots of tests to see the extent of the torture/neglect.
here a hypothetical situation... Let me chain you by the throught with a 20 pound chain, that is only 5 feet long. In the back yard where no one can see you. And put the water bowl just out of your reach so you have to chock yourself to get water. And I'll go on vacation for hmmm 10 days and be like "What the hell happened!?" Then be stupid and call the police, saying someone torture my doggie. ASPCA(I think it is) Hunts you down and you go to jail! for hmm.. 30 years!
Well some people just like to do it maybe because that animal did something back to them that he really dint like at all. Or maybe it is because the guy/girl doesnt really like that animal so that animal has to suffer.
i think ppl should go to jail like the story with the dog got chaind up and the guy goes on a vacation that all most made me cry *sniff sniff* well those ppl are just SICK AND RONG!
Well those people just cant help it. They can stop but they are doing wrong and they should try to make up for it, but since that will almost never happen. I guess that they should go to jail for at least 10 years depended on whatt they did and pay a huge fine, maybe about 2000 dollars.
