Ya. If I didn't say it before, I have both;
A Siamese rescue and a Australian Cattle Dog who saw his grandfather get trampled and died. And I also had a Yellow Lab who died of hip failure. Overall, dogs are funnier, more playful, more active and more lively.

Have you owned one/Been around one awhile etc.

I say the following having had both: a two dogs and a cat, and I have cared for them and have been around them for a while.

I like dogs because they are fun, they play with you, forget the past (sometimes), are actually very out-going and they live in the moment, which is, a thing most people should start doing and stop being so... Serious.
My dog plays with me, and it understands what I am saying, though cats don't typically really do that.
I say..."want some din-din?"
My Australian Cattle Dog Casey will **** his head, and and gets a very eager look in his eyes and face.
Dogs are fun to be around. 'Nuff said.
I love Dogs, they are my favorite animals =)

Each have their own perks & downsides. I enjoy my dogs & miss my cats. So both for me.
