What happened to the old "X is a [male/female] in [place]"? Without ranks anymore (Lord/Lady, Duke/Dutchess, Prince/Princess, King/Queen), it can be difficult to determine the gender of a user and assumptions are made, especially by/of new users. Can there be an icon option somewhere so we don't need to guess?
I dunno, if people can create horribly long and garish bios on their profiles, perhaps it isn't a stretch to let the user decide to hint at his/her gender in their bio in whatever way he/she sees fit. I don't think there needs to be a dropdown menu for this sort of thing, it's rather redundant if you have unlimited words in your bio.
