i personal dont believe it but many groups have predicted it ex: mayans,hopi indians,the bible St Malachy predicted the world will end with the 112th pope; pope bendict is our 111th pope. Why would all these people predict the same date?
Nobody knows when the end will come, im sure its not going to be in 2012, the mayan calendar is based in a cicle of 50 and so years and then it begis once again and the calendar was made by the mayans for the mayans, they never had in mind including the whole world.
It wont end in 2012.But consideing how the world is right now everything is geting set for a really big disaster wich im sure will not be 2012.

If the world ends in 2012, it will be because of all the riots, mass suicides, etc. caused by the belief of the apocalypse. The mayans probably ran out of space or didn't feel like adding more days to their calendars.
Actually I read a while back that at the end of a Mayan Calender the Mayans would have a big celebration. So.....on Dec 22, 2012 I'm going to laugh my ass off at thepossum. Oh and the other civilazitions just went with the flow....

The mayans calendar runs in cycles of 54 or 50 so years, the current cycle end in 2012, but people misunderstood the calendar and they think is going to end.
The world its self probably wouldn't end up ending just everyone would be all like OMGWTFBBQ were gonna die its dec 21, 2012 and start going crazy. And then everyone all will be like WTF is going on and start overreacting and cause riots and stuff. And then I will be sitting in my backyard and be laughing while eating the tasty BBQ that I just barbecued on my grill that I stole while everyone else was all going OMGWTFBBQ WERE GONNA DIE and having a massive group hug outside the nearest Wal-Mart before some protesters were like WTF STFU give me your moneys..........sorry I got carried away there...

Well i dont really believe that its the end of the world hahahha =) You might have seen the video that was posted in the youtube like the video so called as "End Of The World"but personally i think its not true, i think the are just scaring people, for fun...

While its true that it doesn't say the world is going to end, it does say its going to change. And not a small change, enough to say that our current society has died. And considering how the world is right now, I wouldn't be surprised if society as we know it did end.

Is that really such a bad thing? Sure, there could be a coincidence that a meteor hit Earth, or there was a big earthquake or something, but honestly just think for a second about what you're using as proof. You're using a calender made by a bunch of mexican indians who thought that the Spanish were gods, and the calender doesn't even say that the world ends....
