I believe, that with billions of galaxies and trillions of planets out there, aliens could exist but will be extraordinarily difficult to contact.
The SETI projects might be quite interesting for those of you who might be really really into this sort of thing. I, for one, find it slightly fascinating but also a bit of a waste of time and resources until we have better technology. But on the other hand, we wouldn't be able to advance in this field of science if we didn't start somewhere now would we?
I also want to ask, are we talking about just extraterrestrial life or specifically extraterrestrial intelligence?
The original report of a 'flying saucer' back in the late 40s was made by a pilot who saw a disk with two chips out of the back, like a bat. He later admitted that it was likely an aircraft with a flying wing design. My guess is that people saw the new prototypes, which made the government worry and openly dismiss their claims. But then people began to think they were alien ships, so the government relaxed because people didn't think they were classified military planes. But then people began to think the government was hiding alien ships, so they freaked out and had to make cover stories for their test flights.
it can be that there real there was found water on mars, or on the moon, i don't know it anymore so that's a argument and there are people who saw a UFO or they pretend that there was a UFO, so that's not sure there are people who believes in it and other people don't just think about it
does any1 remember a post from some1 that didn't believe in aliens? all i can remember from this topic is people agreeing they exist xD
(and some guy who standed up for christianity. but if he wasn't then he agreed whit aliens. aka he believed in aliens but is knowing denying it --.--' )
i personally think its arrogant if humanity believes they are the only form of intelligent life in the universe. There is more than a billion galaxies meaning there is easily more than a trillion planets that could easily support life even human life. It is more than likely there must be an alien habitat somewhere in one of these galaxies.
The chances of life are very very high but inteligent life like humans is very slim just look at earth it was only pure luck that mammals came to power because the dinosaurs died out so if another planet were to have life the chances are that they wouldn't be smart as we think of smart but have adapted to be the dominant force of that planet but I highly doubt that they would be capable of using technology but maybe they will because they have been around for so long on there planet and adapted to create and use technology but it took humans thousands of years so we can't know for sure we might have been a fluke but until they contact us which may never happen we don't know for sure. But maybe we are just a group of aliens science project.
But maybe we are just a group of aliens science project.
That is possible... then again is it?
I think they ARE REAL. Humans couldn't be the only life in the universe and to the aliens, We are the aliens to them.It is VERY VERY VERY likely that somewhere... in this universe lives another species we as humans are not known to.
i think there are other living things on other planets but if they are intelegent i don't know but i am sure that they are some where out there but they probapley are more like bacteria.
Aside from all the ''Chances are they're out there since the Universe is so astronomically huge'', scientists are are currently working on the Titanic Telescope, bigger than anything we've built to stare at space. It also has the nifty ability to pick up the energetic equivalent of an airport radar on a planet fifty light years away, which might increase our chances of finding life!
