Uhm, duh! I thought that was the basic definition of a taco; Shell, meat, cheese, salsa. Then again, I'm not mexican, and we don't have taco bells here so...yeah...

I was just making a point. You don't have to have a taco with cheese.
I would have to say the taco! To answer the original question this forum posed: the taco would use its shell to squeeze the grilled cheese sandwich, then abduct the grilled cheese's cheese to become a cheese deluxe taco (level up!) while leaving the grilled cheese sandwich as simply a... grilled sandwich. Also, this video proves my point that tacos win.
To answer the question adopted by later posts in this forum: tacos are much more diverse and come in many styles while grilled cheese sandwiches are not because they're simply sandwiches (though FallenSky will be quick to jump me on that statement). Tacos have the meat, lettuce, cheese, and more, and are a better source of happiness than grilled cheese (studies to be released someday).
it depends... whats on the taco? and is there meat on the grilled cheese? is there tomaato on the grilled cheese? is there tomato soup with the grilled cheese? is the grilled chhese alrready grilled? is the taco hard or soft shelled? what kind of meat is n the taco? or is it a veggie taco? all of these could change the out come completely!
Seeing as they're both inanimate objects... they would coexist in peace with one another until varies molds set or an animal of some sort takes them both away and devours them. That of course would be the most traumatic experience that the surviving food had ever experienced. Luckily for said food, the torment would not last for long.
