We are thinking about adding some more unlockable features on the site. This is not a for sure thing, and it may not go through to production. However, if we get some really cool ideas on here, it might! So what do you guys think would be some cool Armor Point unlockable features? We already have unlockable armatars, what should be next?
Here are some ideas that have been brought up through the Support and Suggestions forums already, and some we came up with. Feel free to voice your opinions on them, and add more ideas!
*Exclusive Games *Things to add to profile pages *Swords and Special Armor *New awards based on certain activity (Commenting, Rating Games, or Forum Post) *Customizable armatars (ability to modify or add things to the current armatars) *Profile skins
How does it make this seem like runescape or WoW? We won't be going around fighting people or anything like that. I think it will probably be a symbol or something.
Well I think it would mean that if you do something special, like get 1000 Merits(just an example) or something like that you would be able to wear a special unique Armatar. Also mods would have unique Armatar. I'm not totally sure on the swords thing though. Maybe armatars with swords in them, because there are not any at the moment.(Ignore my last post about the swords, this one makes more sense)
Carlie stated that this is not final, it's just some ideas swirling around the brain. Also if they decide to do some it could probably take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. I believe they are currnetly working on a user-page layout, and then it takes a while to do all the coding. Just be patient.
I agree with Greg, once one reaches a certain mark in a certain category (like 1000 forum posts, or maybe 30 merits) you earn a special armatar. That way, there will be some armatars you cannot get just by earning AP.
i'd say if they really seriously took this into immediate action it could probably take about a week of re-scripting if they focused and about a month of bug testing especialy for bugs like you could get special items through hitting certain button patterns while on a page of someone who already has it (this happened on my friends site) but i could be wrong it could take much longer
I think this is a wonderful idea! I only hope that it doesn't cause an increase in spam, though the unlockable avatars are great and give a wonderful incentive. I think it would be really fun if page customizations came as an unlockable, as long as great care is taken to ensure this doesnt turn into another MySpace, with unreadable profiles, haha.
Yeah i really hope armorgames stays the way it's been and keeps everything original but another idea would be for the swords to have effects over your ap gain :]
