in Beijing, china, they are starting this years Olympics with all of the sports you can think of, although there is a price. Thousands right now are are homeless because of the Olympics, they have been tearing down homes one by one to make room for this years Olympics. To make it worse about 3/5 people don't even have insurance!!! do you think the Olympics should be canceled? (I do)
i dont think they should stop it. they should of never choose china in the first place. China is a socialist country where the gov. controls all. So y should the olympics be there. The olympics let anyone with skill in from anywhere and any sport they want. And China gov. is againest that by being a socialist(communist)country
To Cortexal Yeah, The Metal Grunt brought up a great point. Millions of dollars have been spent on construction, advertising, and I'm sure many people that are participating would want to go to China. Also if you had bad insurance, it has nothing to do with it. There isn't an insurance that covers ticket refunds.
THey celebrate during the opening ceremony, the celebrate each others victory's and they celebrate at the closing ceremony. theres many more even if you don't think that counts.
