The modifications refer more to improvements, not criticizing... These are some suggestions that might can improve the forum.
----------- E D I T B u t t o n-------------
It is generally known that the absolute majority of users wants Edit button! Mistakes are possible, we all make mistakes. There is no unmistakable user. We all want sometimes to fix or correct the post that we made. For example, I missed to tell something, and I think it's important, I'll have to post it again. And not everyone is good with English grammar and spelling, and when he noticed that something is wrong, he can correct it.
In any case, Edit button would improve the quality of posts.
But since abuses are possible, there should be a time limit in which the modifications are possible! Or other limitations, for example you can only correct the last post that you made. Or is it required to put the reason for the correction.
I got such a conclusion based on the last few comments. I know about the possible abuse of the system...That is why I said that we need some restrictions on edit button.
As for the labeling FORUM name, it's the purpose of advertising in order to maximize the number of visitors to forum.
One more feature, I would like to see in the forums, is a search interface, allowing to look for appropriate threads insted of starting new ones all the time. This would be particularly nice with the sixty or so pages of this very subforum. Taking into account all of the forums, this seems even more necessary..

Cheers, Aenye
We actually do have something similar to what you are asking.
Oooh *eyes water*, thanks for the link ! ;-D Although it's google (which I personally don't use anymore), the approach can be grafted onto other SEs with the site:armorgames.com/*community* parameter...
Firstly if there is such an option, it would have to be advanced. Because if you are just looking for the words that are typed in the Search tab. Search could throw the results as 0 (zero) And in fact you can just make a mistake in one letter.
So I think that the search on principle, Find exactly as I typed, would not be good.
2. Search by keywords I think it's much better search principle to appear in the results is themes that include keywords or combined similar results with keywords.
3. Search by all words that are typed This search would give so many results that would not fulfill its purpose.
Besides the kind of search, its very important option where to seek. For example:
1. I want to search the entire forum 2. I want to search only a part of it (a subforum)
Which all ofcourse depends on the interest of the requester.
One more important thing.
3.Search within the topic
For example: In some topic are more than 1000 posts, And I'm really interested in that subject, and I want to find something in it. So I want to search only that topic.
But while we sit and just wait for AG to do something. Users, can we help ourselves?
We can create a topic (And ask the moderators to be sticky one): Name of the topic: Where can I find this on AG? I'm sure there are many users who would gladly help.
Or in any subforum we should make sticky topic: "The content of subforum" in alphabetical order or by publication date.
2.Communication Improving 2.1.Online/Offline status in forum 2.2.Community or Forum (name) 2.3.Forum button 2.4.Topic: Where can I find this on AG forum? 2.5.Events (Special messages sent by administrators or moderators) 2.6.Thanks button (Say thanks to user for this useful post) YAY! 2.7.Quote button
3.Notifications and users benefits 3.1.Subscribe to topic 3.2.Subscription list 3.3.Subscribe to Site News (quests) 3.4.Send this topic to someone's e-mail 3.5.Rating Threads 3.6.Voting (poll)
4.Advanced Options 4.1.Forum history(user history in forum) 4.2.Who is online (provides a list of users which are currently online, noting what they are doing) 4.3.Page button (typing the number automatically leads to (number) page in thread) 4.4.Reputation (a way in which users are ranked according to the quality of posts written by)
At the beginning of this thread in the first post I stated this:
"More advanced function would be:
Subscribe to a topic, and receive an e-mail alerts when something new appears"
Subscriptions are one way to stay up to date with events in various topics.
I think this feature would be useful for us users. But I also think it would also be very useful for moderators and administrators.
Q: How it would be useful for moderators and administrators? A: Assuming they are very busy, which of course they are, it would be easier to subscribe to the following topics or not?
[REPORT] Quests Bugs & Glitches http://armorgames.com/community/thread/11156020/report-quests-bugs-glitches and similar.
And as far as the users,
When someone asks a question in a topic, and then he wonts to subscribe to this topic because he expects a response, and a response may take place immediately in one case. But in other case he may have to wait much longer than that. So he would not waste time on that and instead he can participate in any other subject.
It would be especially useful for forum games!
For example, I started a topic and I want to know when something new appears in it,because I want to exchange views&osts more frequent. I can not wait for someone to make a reply. That time I would like to use for something else.Example to play a game, write something in another thread or something else.
Important!!! When I receive such a notice, I would like that such a notice has a link that takes me to the first unread message.
By the way there are several different methods of notification:
1.Daily notification by email - AG sends you a summary email of new and updated topics in the forum and subforums. If there are no new or updated theme, you will get no email. 2.Current email notification - AG sends you an email message as soon as the topic has new messages. Further on,notification is not sent for every reply, but only for the first answer that comes after your last visit to the forum. 3.Weekly email notification - AG sends you an e-mail message once a week, in the same way as the Daily notification.
Basically all this comes down to increase users activity on the forum, and also the whole site.
Also I wish there is this kind of service (notification)
When new quests appears on the site, it might be a good idea to e-mail users about it.These are published on Facebook and Twitter. Then why a similar system would not exist on the AG site?
And this can be done automatically. It can be an option on users profile "checkbox" if they wish to receive an e-mail alerts when new quests appears on the site. Of course, anyone who does not want to receive this notification, does not have to tick checkbox.

If ArmorGames is going to have this kind of email notification thing, there better be a way to turn it off. I get annoyed by these very quickly.
