I am a christian, i and i strongly belive in my lord jesus christ, and i also belive that if you belive in him and except him as your savior, u will go to heaven. and i also believe that he created the world, not the big bang, or that we came from stupid apes.
Pfft, I have a book called 1001 childrens stories (which has exactly that) - doesn't mean I have to worship the tooth fairy, observe 'funday' or not eat unicorn.
I just want to say one thing how does one book like the Bible have that many stories unless it is true. So all of you who don't believe need to take off the blindfold and open your eyes and see the truth.
I think this is a bit a weird thing to say, you have a lot of books with very much stories, there should even be a book that was that big that you couldn't read it in your entire life.. but i forgot the name
But if there are more stories, that doesn't mean all is true, if i talk a lot it's not more true than when i talk not so much:P how more stories there are, how more chance there is that there are flaws in the logic..
sorry i just don't believe in this god-thing, i think you should believe in yourself
I just want to say one thing how does one book like the Bible have that many stories unless it is true. So all of you who don't believe need to take off the blindfold and open your eyes and see the truth.
Take time to read the Edda. Lots of stories, poems, songs... following your logic, the Aesir also exist, and this contradicts what the bible says. And what about the Torah? Or the Qur'an?
I just want to say one thing how does one book like the Bible have that many stories unless it is true.
The Bible is a collection of works put together in one book. Really this is like saying how could there be so many stories of Middle Earth if it wasn't real. Or How could there be so many stories going on in Star trek if it wasn't real. Just because something is made up of many stories doesn't equate to reality.
So all of you who don't believe need to take off the blindfold and open your eyes and see the truth.
It's not blind to ask for evidence before believing in something. As I have pointed out "there are lots of stories" doesn't qualify as evidence. If anything believing in something without evidence and seeing that belief as the absolute truth can and likely will blind you.
atheism beleives science, science is proven and if it's wrong it will make a correction every other relgion including christianty is based on higher powers aitheism sets it's self apart in the way that there is no higher power. Many gods with one god ruling one element or factor is just as the same as beiliving in one god ruling all elements.
And kiddslayer is a retard I know natural selection I learned it this year. My pastor told me, all the proof I need is the bible when god has never made himself present in anyother records other than the bible making me believe the bible was thought up what other records but the bible has "god" been present in? For those of you who say that You can't see oxygen but it's there, oxygen is supported by science there is no physcial law that supports a god just making himself present and the highest prower out of nowherethe number one mistake a reglion makes is not explaining how their god came to be
Perhaps God is some extremely rich top-of-the-notch psychologist from the future.
I think that what the sons of israel saw was a misinterpitation, and that litle "miracles" were turned into great "miracles" with the writing of the bible.
Atheism has nothing to do with excepting or rejecting science. Though many atheists do except science. (note I used the term except not believe)
Even science cant explain why the big bang happened, you know why? cause God pushed it!
At one point we were unable to explain the cause of lightning "so God did it", we were unable to explain why the sun seemed to move across the sky "so God did it". Just because we don't have an explanation now doesn't automatically make "God did it" the correct answer, it simply means we don't know and need to keep looking.
I think that what the sons of israel saw was a misinterpitation, and that litle "miracles" were turned into great "miracles" with the writing of the bible.
That's possible. They might not have been miracles at all. We have plenty of examples of real stories being padded with grandiose events that either were real events blown out of proportion or never really happened.
aithiests don't have to sit through church or study story books there is no god to worship, we don't put all our faith in something that may not be there.Saying that we forge our own destiny we don't rely on something questionable. I've been to a church and I heard what the pastor said and the main thing that was said is to let god lead the way or put your faith in him. I put my faith in myself and the a little of it in the people I Love.
