I've lived in England my whole life so far, but my maternal Grandfather had lived in Malta and Cyprus before he moved back here, where he was born.

Wow cool! I want to visit Malta one day.
This island has so much history, it was the home of the Knights of St.-John for a while. They survived 2 invasions by the Ottoman Empire even though they were greatly outnumbered. Thanks to them, the Turks do not own the entire Mediterranean region today.
