It's not exactly something I found on my own, but here goes, give it a try:

http://www.isidewith.com/

Not only does it show which parties you agree with the most, but the politicians that correspond to your state as well. I'm not sure what will happen if users outside the US take the quiz, because a couple questions come from your state, and quite a few have jurisdiction only in the US.

Anyway, simply copy the image, upload it to an image sharing site, then paste it here!

I'm kinda scared at what my results were. I always knew I was a more-progressive individual, but I didn't realize it was so saturated.

I agree with Republicans on....Increasing the space exploration budget, eliminating Gerrymandering, and implementing a more elastic approach to gun ownership xD

Green Party - 66%
Democrats - 60%
Republicans - 56%
Socialist - 23%

Probably more green due to the absolutely non-invasive military, but I don't know. I only answered the minimum.

I swear, it's like I'm the only Republican here, or something.

The first to post here perhaps. There are plenty of users on this site who used to frequent the WEPR that are definitely Republicans. And just by the numbers, ~50% of all Americans are Republican.

I don't consider myself a Democrat, even though the percentage it gave me is 89%. While I happen to agree with them on many things, that's only on a broad overview of the topic. I'm not happy with Democrats, but I disagree on very important issues with Republicans far more-so.

What I want to know is, do you hate the environment or something blk? No one else has their percentage for them under 70. Yours is 16. Not polluting and driving everything to extinction kind of lies outside political party lines.

For funsies, I answered with what I completely disagree with and got this:
Republicans 73%
Green Party 58%
Democrats 55%
Socialist 23%
Libertarians 11%

Right there in the middle it looks like, that sounds like me.

Would probably help if some of you guys posted on which policies you sided with who.

It just struck me that, as the US is very right wing, it is likely that this will affect the results of people not from the US?

not in my case at least. i don't believe if a single puny country can influence political choices that people from other nations made, or if they have time to do that anyway. why bother influence persons which would not come to their legislative election anyway? if what i think you meant is true, then if i was deeply communistic or socialistic, why am i not rotten in some US jail or somethin?

I doubt so. The relevant issues for the US will still be the same relevant issues for any nation. And the ensuing political stances would be the same. If I support same sex marriage and I'm not from the US, my views would still be the same as Americans who do as well.

Unless I'm not catching your drift?

I think what Phil may have meant was that, broadly and generally speaking, people from outside the US may be somewhat more liberally inclined by default.

While he may have put it a little awkwardly, I guess there may be a core of truth there, and indeed it may be reflected in some of these results.

(E.g., I'm surprised how many members here, not rarely from the US I guess, apparently feel the need to identify themselves as Christians in their bios, not rarely as pretty much the opening statement. [Nor in a tone that would lead one to assume they're talking liberation theology, either, mind!] I just don't think many of my countrymen -- in the Netherlands, not Thingumajigistan -- would self-identify in that way, even though Christians they very well may be. It just would seem immaterial to most.

Or take discussions here on birth control, gay rights, gun control and what have you. It's not that we don't have right-wing idiots here -- and getting sadly more outspoken by the day, too -- but nonetheless, these questions by-and-large would be pretty much no-brainers to many, far more than perhaps they may be elsewhere.)

Anyhows, so much for generalizations, then, which can ever be no more than just that, right.

These results are taken from the original political compass, and put things on a four way scale.

That's me.

That's some major world leaders. Even though my other results show I agree with Obama, that's just because he's the least disagreeable out of those you are compared against.
