I honestly find endurance unbeatable at my current level. Am currently level 71.
What's a good level to start trying to beat Endurance? Right now I'm just going back to past fields and playin' 'em on Glaring difficulty with maxed Corrupted Banishment and maxed out Haste and Orblets. I haven't dared do either Domination nor Beacon Storm and I absolutely despise Mana Lock.
thunder, you said that you had gem grade 56 when you beat the endurance, was that without shrines? Looking at the exponential hp growth, to me it seems that one needs more than G56.
Its totally doable. Jumped from level 441 to 13958, and i realzied that its possible to do that, when u get the freeze and wake of eternity. You will not defeat endurance at that level, but its possible to get billions of XP points. Tried it with enraging, and stopped that tactic at round 150, because it was just too hard work. Got G61 at the end, but it wasn`t enought. You just need freeze spell and an orange, red (black and white if u have) trap. Keep sending waves nontop. Monsters have to be freezed on the farm. You can perma freeze yourself to wave 999. [Also spam the freezed Enemies with wake of eternity to be able to kill them with your damage gem(tower)] I for example died at 999, because i was not able to send more creeps. But im pretty sure with level 13k its totally doable now, compared to the old battle basics i had. Good luck. Remember to kill creeps with red, yellow, white and black in combination with wake of eternity, to get the xp, for the creeps.
At least i can say its not doable to beat endurance, at low level with G56 gems, how someone here thinks. I had no points in resonance and multiple hit and it was definitly not enought to kill them with G61.
Gonna try that again with 13k skillpoints anytime, have a nice day.

-> Gemcraft and CreepTD, the two best tower defence games yet.
Out of interest got to 999 wave @haunting difficulty and all maxed traits but mana lock. Dont remember the right map but about 70 initial waves. Swarmling wave had about +e72 hp (lvl 999)
Haven't "beaten" it so far cause it seems endless but I have gotten bored and closed up shop at higher wave levels (made it to level 1124 on Haunting w/ all maxed battle traits so far). Despite what you may think about using bloodbound, poolbound, chain hit, and another gem (typically mana leeching or critical hit) in combo, I've found that a triple gem combination works better as a long-term strategy. There's no doubt that poolbound can give you a higher multiplier more quickly at earlier levels so if the boost is essential have at it, but for your bread and butter (like critical hit to squash monsters and your mana farm) stick with bloodbound only. To get the aforementioned high level in endurance I used a series of traps. First, use a combo of bloodbound and chain hit gems along your path (the highest level you can without getting kills from them, over time, use amps to increase their hit speed) as a "hit-farming" tactic to use for quicker bloodbound power ups (use the beam spell for faster hit rate). Then you have your mana farm (5 parts chain hit, 5 parts black, 6 parts mana for the first 25 or so levels, then upgrade with 50/50 bloodbound and mana continuously or take the incorporate one of the hit farm gems). Keep doing this with the intent of getting closer to 50/50 mana, bloodbound on your mana leeching. It'll never actually happen (chain hit will keep rising in power) but it'll up the bb power by small increments which is important later. Use the same strategy of incorporating hit farmed black and red gems into your critical hit trap to up it's power. While you may prefer combo gems in amps for more damage, you're better off using pure mana leeching gems in the mana farm amps and pure critical hits in your kill zone. The effect gained greatly outweighs the boost, even with maxed skill levels.
Yep so I beat it, although I maxed all but the top 3 traits, which I probably should have done the middle one too at least. This took extremely long too btw......
Wave 917 cleared:

At one point I had 20k creatures on screen, so it gets laggy lol
I've beaten F1 on looming like month ago with a G96 killgem, the last wave there has like 1E+51 HP. F6 Haunting should instead have like 1E+75HP in the end, while your G96(?) killgem can't do more than about 1E+50 damage. So I guess you used a script for freezing and WoE and just let the game run? For how long, a week?
