After F1 and J1 I finished endurance at y1, too
Again haunting, all traits maxed.
In the beginning, during manafarming, I had 7992 monsters permafrozen on my manafarm. This lagged a bit too much for me so I decided, after reaching g75 (32s64c) for mana- and killgem plus g76 amps (64c) for both to go in endurance. After that I threw all amps but one to the manashards and rose my mana by shard-harvesting... It's faster than manafarming but much less reliable - waiting for the next shard is much less meditative than permafreezing on a manafarm.
Due to this "underpowered" start in endurance I didn't reach as much xp as @J1 and I had to struggle with the last 1-2000 monsters for several hours.
This is the outcome:
Hi! This time I did T8. I farmed with 4995 monsters till I had a G85/102 managem with G86/103 Amps, then built my killgem, first same grade as the managem, after "sharding" I improved it till G115/130 with one G116/131 and 7 other amps between G111 and G115. The hardest wave had 4e74hp. (I enraged that wave once with a G125, that funny idea took some extra-hours of endgame...)
That is the last wave:

Greetings from the shire!
P.S. I hope, the piclinks work for a while... still searching for the perfect pic-hoster...
Ups, I did it again...
After an unspectacular run @i3 I did w5 - a map with gem enhancement shrine... I pushed my g1 black to almost 200k and my g1 yellow to 350k max.damage before I entered endurance and therefor before I built my killgem. In order to have a proper hitlevel on my killgem, I used a g2red/black to farm some hits, 3,5e9 hits were enough for hl 39 and a great bloodbound multiplier.
During manafarming, I used a "standard" 32s64c managem but my amps were 1024c out of psoreks witches kitchen... Great for farming some real mana... I ended endurance with 7e34 mana.
For the killgem I planned to use the 64_4s with 256c and 256c amps. Shortly before I built my killgem, ieee12345 told me, that there would be an even more powerful, black-balanced killgem with a black:yellow ratio of 3:61.
That gave me some doubts on which gem I should use... As I only had one rb with many hits, I did a second gem.... This time with hl38 and 2.2e9 hits.
Then I built some powerful amps, built two killgems and after the second iteation it was clear: I used the 3:61 gem. For not loosing hits, I somehow mixed the other gem in it, resulting in hl40... Sad enough, I messed something up during combining, but it could have been worse - nevertheless I got the best killgem I've ever had!
In endurance, I started to kill e57 monsters with one hit. I was a bit lucky with manashards and xp-sparks so it got a real great run. Here you have some pics:
Impressive enraging of waves:
The final Amp-Gem:
The final kill-gem:
Funny note: There is a display bug when the crit reaches e30 - that is displayed as e3 - but don't worry, e31 is displayed correct again

The outcome (NEW RECORD!!!)
Have I mentioned, that this run gave me 56 wizard levels, I reached WL 3894...
Well - I guess, this thread will not get any longer...
With V1.1, I ended an endurance run (32s64c) with my killgem killing E51 monsters. So far so good, but the monsters in the end had E103 hp... Without permafreeze, I see no way to win anymore. Even the last spires with E60hp would kill me...
At least, this run brought me 1e11xp pushing the WL from 4795 to 5993 (and the cat stole me enraging of 100+ waves with unpausing during dinner...)
It's enough to win looming on hex F still, not easy but you can't use hatred (which will mean a lot of mana spent on angering early). Of course not worth as much xp as 100 waves of full everything
I was killing e44 yesterday, but I can't farm much past e25 mana. It takes multiple gems which lag or >e30 base hp which lags with more than one gem or something else that lags.
Just another beaten endurance...
This time, I did c3, haunting, all maxed but haunting, and even if the last 100 monsters nearly killed me: In the end, I killed them all!
C3 is a map with a gem enhancement shrine, I managed to get a g1 gem with 3.300.000 max damage - with this base gem I had a killgem G107/118 with G106/115 amps, max damage 9.9e37, crit hit 2e27 - 2e65...The last monsters had e69 hp...
Fortunately, my shrine of focus was fully charged so I was able to beat the field on razors edge...
Before that run, I had WL 15900, that run got me to 18661 - On the other hand, a quick f1-looming-low traits endurance run for my first purple dot giving 8.4e13 xp brought me only to 18738...
I have some answers for the current chatter on the disqus thread (which is awful to post on and review):
- At level 18k, I did looming F1 in like 2 hours, but I knew the end hp (~e50, giants can get a bit higher, fliers to like e54). One U gem mana farm, just keep it covered with like 5k monsters. U gem for mana gets slow at about grade 80 (where it's more than a handful of waves for an upgrade). Even adding more traps, it gets longer and longer until you can upgrade. Built e48 kill gem, called all waves til 950, sweat on the last few
- Glaring no traits. Used 1024 spec/combine for 2 mana traps amped by 4 each (6 amps). Went to e33 mana, built an e58 damage killgem. Took a little longer, I don't build gems by hand like the crazy people.
- Final hitpoints (like anything else matters): if you use the hardeners that don't affect creeps (swarm, giant, hatred), you lower the final hitpoints a bit since it's fewer waves getting the larger hp increment of endurance (and greatly increase xp for minor annoyance if any). That's the variation discussed.
- Leveling up...it's a bit different at 10k or 12k v 5k, those skill increments don't seem like much but they all multiply together...g1 gems do 1k damage Get that fast 50B xp, then that fast 100B xp which can be gotten quickly with U gems most maps. Be mindful that U stop being helpful beyond that, it's just not worth the effort.
- The first thing to optimize is the mana operation. Mana gem of 1 part red in a grade 14ish gem (g1 o + g1 r + g2bl + g3 o + etc). upgrading: 8 combine isn't great but it's better than u. (g+g)+g+g+g+(g+g). For yellow amps of killgem, use 16, that's pretty easy to get down to almost as many movements and clicks. If that's too much add the 8 combine to a 5 combine (g+g)+g+(g+g) which helps preserve damage (8 combine hurts damage a bit).
- I'm serious about gem specs and combines, doing that is worth gathering 1k times as much mana. It's stupid effective.
That depends on the available mana... Three different ways:
1- build one managem and one killgem, enrage with tons of g1 so that the killtrap can kill them - switch the gem between tower and trap for beacon shooting
2 - build one manatrap, look at the remaining mana, divide it through six and look how many g3/g4/g5 you can get for that, anger each wave with that - The manatrap should kill these monsters.
3. build one managem and one killgem (3b: two killgems, one for beacons), look at the remaining mana, divide it through six and look how many g3/g4/g5 you can get for that, anger each wave with that - The killtrap should kill these monsters.
