Welcome to The BLACKMARKET! Shh! Don't tell the other mods about this! You'll find everything you're looking for here.
HOW TO PLAY
1. Everyone starts out with 1000 Credits.
2. Everyone can do one of four actions per post. No double-posting. OFFER - You offer something on the blackmarket. You only do this the first time you post. BUY - You buy something. Subtract the value from your credits. You cannot buy your own product. You already have infinite units. How much more do you need? SELL - You sell something. Add the value to your credits. You cannot sell your own product. Other dealers must buy from you. Where do the credits from selling items come from if not other dealers? Well, the blackmarket is bigger than this little corner of Armor Games. CHECK - You check the price of something. The market is highly volatile. Roll 2d4 to check the price change rounded to the nearest 1. (Round up from 0.5) You can only check one item per post. No double-posting. You cannot check the price of your own product. 2 = -50% 3 = -25% 4 = -10% 5 = +0% 6 = +20% 7 = +50% 8 = +100% Note: If any non 2d4 dice are rolled for a CHECK, no change occurs.
3. Everyone must OFFER before they can BUY. You have infinite units of your own product. You cannot BUY/SELL your own product. Other dealers must BUY from you. Roll 20d20 for the initial unit price of your product.
4. Add new products to the market with the price and dealer.
5. Manage your own account. It is up to you collect credits from when someone buys your product. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of profits. You must collect all prior debts on your next post.
RULES
1. Don't cheat other dealers. Double-posting will result in being blacklisted from the blackmarket. All remaining product can be liquidated for the twice the last market value.
2. Mistakes in pricing, inventory, selling your own product, adding more credits to your account than what was purchased from you or you sold, etc. will cost you 50% of your wealth if you are found out. And you'd better pay up. Don't forget to deduct when you buy.
3. Mistakes in dice rolls for your product will cost you. Your product is now cheaper than what it could be worth because you rolled 20d6 instead of 20d20.
4. Mistakes in product name will make your product worthless. Too bad! Use [UNDERSCORES] not [SPACES] in dice rolls!
ENDGAME
Earn as much credits as you can or go broke trying. It is impossible to go bankrupt as items can't reach 0 value (unless you messed up on the product name.) But it is possible to have a net worth so low that you effectively have 0 purchasing power and are at the mercy of the market as you wait for the prices of the items in your inventory to increase. If your product is still worth something, you are going to have to hope enough dealers buy your product to put you back into the game. If your product is worth 0, too bad. You're effectively broke.
