Oh hm actually, the easiest way is probably to summon a dragon in a random dungeon. Then, you can just beat him up after being 10 levels higher or whatever, though it's still not that easy. That's how I got my dragon-killing quest, though not entirely by design.

@Gantic fyi the wiki has nice maps of each zone(through the dragon zones): http://weaponmasters.wikia.com/wiki/Categoryungeons. They're pretty accurate, though you can't directly tell what opens what or the enemies you face.

For anyone curious about pets, I bought buzz(light bunny). He does about 2-3k per normal attack, and 6-8k(depending on elemental neutral/weak), so my opinion is that purchasing an upgraded original pet is the best choice(pick your favorite). You only need 4 pets total to complete the quest. For reference, my mage staff hero does 13k/shot or so

I also realized that you can run away from bosses and complete zones. You'll get hurt, of course, but if you're at the point that you want to smash your laptop from get ***-kicked, you can just bypass the final boss(dash for the exit!), or a ridiculous mini-boss fight.

@randomblah: Those are kind of hard to read.

- RED & WHITE dragons are definitely the best for the quest.
- Red takes ~80% (probably less) complete and has a somewhat challenging long hallway.
- White is shorter ~75% (probably less) and more challenging overall compared to Red.
- Green is very linear (~95% complete) with previous boss monsters in unmarked tiles but not particularly challenging. There's a long tunnel, but it's pretty easy.

I have not completed the following, but:
- Black is a maze.
- Blue makes it hard on magic with its split weaknesses. You need at least three elemental wands/staves unlike the other dungeons where you can get by with one or two elements.
- Yellow looks like it has blocks and boss fights around every corner, but maybe it's not that hard?

Edit: -Black is a maze, but it is easy.
-Blue is a lot harder than the previous dungeons.

Thanks @Gantic what level do you hit the dragons at? That and the pets are my last quests, the pets I can get when I finish the next two quests, mayhap one depending on how many blessings I get.

@JACKinbigletters: Dragons are at Weapon Masters level, which is 51.

@Gantic thanks I was wondering how many hours I'd have to pour for that one.

I've put in over 100 hrs into ithe game to get to Weapon Master level, but a lot of that was AFK. I don't know how long it takes for the game to auto-disconnect, but it's still a lot of hours, unless you get lucky like randomblah and find a Dragon in a lower level explore dungeon. The Dragon is the only thing that requires you to reach max level.

My guess is that each quest dungeon takes maybe 2 hours, and maybe another hour between quests? If you flee from most boss battles after say, 20 minutes of attempts, you can probably speed run the game in 20-30 hrs at most?

It looks like I restarted this game(from around L9) 4 days ago, and I'm trying to find a L53 nm dungeon to farm. I spent about 2 hrs trying to be more beefy before finally beating The False Shepard alone, so it should be decent if you don't get stuck. It's probably easier to spawn lots of dungeons in a deliberate fashion until you get a dragon, if you really want that quest.

Note: I'm not completely sure if you're intended to be able to run through bosses to the end zone, so I'd avoid using it unless you're totally stuck

I played this game for like an hour the week it came out because it required a lot of thinking. I'm guessing I need to start over?

All I can say is WOW the final quest requires an unbelievable amount of stupidly boring grinding.

@R2D21999: Not really. You just need to know which weapons/armor sets work better in which situations. Through the single element zones, you'll slowly learn the monsters and their moves. And at the dual element dungeons, you'll learn from your mistakes. Eventually, you'll adapt to the system. A few battles will require unconventional set-ups, because there are ones where you'll have to take damage no matter what, as you really can't win otherwise without spending blessings or being kitted with the best weapons and armor that (in-game and real-life) money can buy.

Hm... I just stomped La Descente pretty casually. It's probably moderately difficult if you don't have good gear, since it was pretty casual for me after I spent the past half day or so grinding out good gear(everything is basically L52+ rare+).

For the actual dragon-slaying, a couple of things. The dragon has two attacks, a standard claw attack(~75% edge, 25% element; base dmg ~15k?) and a breath attack(100% element; base dmg ~40k?), with roughly equal? chances of each. The elemental gear won't help against the claw attack much, but a full set(10.5% redux each) will probably make the dragon a joke. My strategy was heavy hero with polearm in front(intercept melee) and mage staff heroine in back, which worked pretty well, until dragon crit-breathed and insta-gibbed my hero for 72k, but still won(at that point, hero was around half health).

How to get "Go straight" quest????

@Whouse - Not sure where your confusion is, the quest description is clear. Go to an explore dungeon, and finish it without using a potion. The bulk of them you shouldn't need a potion in the first place, they are pretty easy if you half pay attention to resistances and attack types.

If you're having a little trouble then time a level-up to give you a HP refill in the middle to make it even easier.

@Whouse: It's easiest to complete on a blue explore dungeon. Depending on your level and equipment, you might not be able to do it on greens and yellows.
