Well this thread is branched off of the Mudkip drawing thread. This will be the same accept for a new rule.

RULES
All pictures must be made using MS art.

The pictures must be appropriate (I will accept constipated Pikachus )

The pictures must of course be of the pokemon stated.

There will be a designed date for all entries. No prizes unless a md wants to. The real prize is knowing that you own at drawing pokemon!

Well, I will go first,
EVERYONE, draw a Pikachu! The start date is now, and the end date is July 10th.

The first contest will be judged by me, and I will chosee the winner. The winner then chooses a new pokemon, and he/she is now the judge. If the winner declines, the judging and assigning duties will go to the runner-up chosen by the prior judge.

So now! Go draw some Pikachus!

Hey, I took a break and only got in at the Marill one. And that was not Zophia who chose that one... After that... Yes, pretty much.


The only way i will win is if i get photoshop something.

Okay, deal: I make my next entry with a pencil, some paper and Lyra. I can even make one for this, it might be better.
So, what do you say? See if the tools are the ones determining the victory?

Or GIMP, Paint.nat, Open Canvas... The... Avery(?)... There is a few more, and they are decent for this.
I still wonder why people believe that it is the tools that does all.
I would like to see your face if I won the ASC with my paint entry..

I know this happened a long time ago but look isaacisawsome did use the mouth from the actual picture. Like he took a snapshot then dragged it on look at this one http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/9430/isaacspikachunv7.jpg then look at the 2nd one on page 6. He just redrew the 2nd's mouth so he could be right.

Nah, it is skills all of it. If you don't have the skills to handle the programme all you do is make it worse.

I think that one is a seadra which is what horsea evolves into and what kingdra evolves from... right?

As Cen said, it's pretty much all skill. And determination.

What advanced graphics programs (like Photoshop) and high quality paint or pencils do, is give artists advanced tools. If they do not know anatomy or how to compose images or how to blend colours, it makes no difference what program or traditional media they use. They still won't produce quality work. Good artists can get amazing work out of ball point pens and freeware programs.

Also, people who get Photoshop before they get skills make some of the worst looking "art" there is.

Yes.

Will enter. Will possibly throw a pile of entries in, because that whole "it's my program's fault" annoys me. So will do some in the different programs and applets I have access to.
