Well this thread is branched off of the Mudkip drawing thread. This will be the same accept for a new rule.

RULES
All pictures must be made using MS art.

The pictures must be appropriate (I will accept constipated Pikachus )

The pictures must of course be of the pokemon stated.

There will be a designed date for all entries. No prizes unless a md wants to. The real prize is knowing that you own at drawing pokemon!

Well, I will go first,
EVERYONE, draw a Pikachu! The start date is now, and the end date is July 10th.

The first contest will be judged by me, and I will chosee the winner. The winner then chooses a new pokemon, and he/she is now the judge. If the winner declines, the judging and assigning duties will go to the runner-up chosen by the prior judge.

So now! Go draw some Pikachus!

Champion's Exhibit - Zophia

Absolutely awesome Zoph! I love it! You should put your animation talents to use in the Animation Contest...WHICH NEEDS MOAR ENTRIES!!!!

There are some problems with the anatomy, like you said, but overall it looks good. Even without the animation it would have been awesome.

First Place - Cenere

Cen...I think you may have misread the name of the thread. This is a pokemon contest...not a SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME SUPER AWESOME POKEMON DRAWING CONTEST!!!

Simply amazing. Superb. I cannot find anything that is wrong with it...and I would suggest submitting it to Bulbapedia or something Pokemon dedicated...

Pick next rounds theme...should really get a better prize for this...*thinks*

The Other Entries

Due to the lack of submissions (and my ficklesity), I scratched the second and third spots. Now, moving on to the other entries...

The I'm Staring At You, Yes You, Award - Zega

A nice entry once again Zega. THe lings are slightly rough, but you did a good job. You have quite a good skill in using the different shades of colours to make shadows...better than me anyway!

Well done!

The Pub Crawl Award - Goumas13

I don't know if alcohol is PG-13, but we'll ignore that. I must admit your entry is drawn interestingly, especially the nose...yeah...what's up with that!!!

I like the Award on the wall....makes little sense, but oh well! Wait...does alcohol even exist in the Pokeuniverse??!!!

Nice job.

The Opposite Award - GuitarHeroFTW

Your entry is drawn badly. The fire on the back is the right colour, which takes away from the overall idea.

The arms could have been erased worse, however overall it looks bad.

(You know what...I don't know either...)

The 'I only see the actual pokemon if I turn my head to the side and squint a little' *breathes in* Award - Snake

Like I said in your Award...I couldn't really make out the pokemon. I think that you spent too much effor on the smoke rather than the pokemon itself.

A nice try though!

The No You Can't Award - Riou1231

This is an interesting entry! I will admit that it could have been drawn better, but on the whole it looks fine. The fire is interesting...

I think the one thing that could be improved would be the legs...as they seem to be just stuck on...

Where'd you learn photoshop (if that's what you used) like that? Cause I can't get anywhere with tutorials... lol

Where'd you learn photoshop (if that's what you used) like that? Cause I can't get anywhere with tutorials... lol

I used photoshop elements (2.2) for this one, yes. And I actually look on a lot of tutorials to learn how others do different things, and then try it out and try and make it fit how I do it, or implement it.
More than often I just test it out and if it works, leave the drawing like that.
I guess it is called curiosity and will to learn.

Most of it comes from traditional drawing, though. If you do not know how to put colours together with a mere pencil, you will most likely fail if you get anything more advanced than that.

But enough with me blabber.

Really. Thanks for the advice! I think I should probably take classes at school, (IT classes of course) and I might get some more knowledge on this.

I guess I should look at lots of tutorials :P

And keep practicing the techniques with your pencils and crayons.

I guess I should look at lots of tutorials :P

dA, search for what you need, and look through a couple of them, then you should have gotten a good idea of what to do.

Also, water effect is rather bad.

Hey, I took a break and only got in at the Marill one. And that was not Zophia who chose that one... After that... Yes, pretty much.
