A year has pass since the Inquisitor's victory against Corypheus, the chaos is beginning to slow under the watch of Divine Victoria and Inquisitor Trevelyan who now poses as her righteous arm but while the situation on the surface has just begun to settle, a fear now envelops the minds of Thedas. While Corypheus's dragon may have not been a true Arch Demon, it has instilled fear into people's hearts still recovering after the last blight only a little more than a decade ago. In light of the rising powers in Thedas, a joint operation has been authorized to locate the last remaining old dragon gods of tevinter, Razikale and Lusacan, to stop future blights from ever occuring. You have been selected for this dangerous mission and its success could mean a new era of peace and safety for Thedas without the looming threat of darkspawn deep underground.

Welcome to Dragon Age: Expedition, this RPG is inspired by a recent playthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition as you might be able to tell so whatever my ending for the game was will impact how this story goes.

Can I get a little info on the race the enlightened darkspawn, I assume they are bad guys that turned good right?

Also the organizations, could I get a little background into them? I haven't played the games, even though I have said I would get around to them soon, so I don't know any of the lore, if there is too much to type I'll just go looking myself.

Enlightened Darkspawn are humanoid beasts that have gained intelligence and have broken away from the "Calling" that other darkspawn have. They can speak unlike all the others who mindlessly try to find the old gods to start a blight. If you ever watched Lord of the Rings, they resemble the orcs.

There are several organizations at least in this time period:
Orlesian Empire: The strongest human nation in all of Thedas, they pride themselves in elegance while maintaining the greatest of the human armies. The capital, Val Royeaux, is the most beautiful city on the continent.

Tevinter Imperium: A society headed by mages, they believe magic exists to guide people in the right direction and slavery is common in their lands. They used to worship the old gods until several of the highest magisters attempted to usurp Heaven, and in turn became tainted becoming the first of the darkspawn. They also held control over much of Thedas until the prophet Andraste fought back, spreading the word of the one true god "The Maker".

Ferelden: A loosely-united land of Dog-Lords, they have only truly come together in times of great strife. Having once been conquered by Orlais, they hold a bitter resentment towards them. The government is very feuadal with arls and lords holding their own land but having an oath to the king.

The Grey Wardens: A order dedicated to fighting darkspawn, they are the only ones who can kill a arch demon and are immune to the taint. They are selected among the best warriors of each race but usually die down after a blight ends. They drink darkspawn blood to gain the ability to fight darkspawn but it will kill them in the end.

Free Marches: A group of fiercely independent city-states, they only come together when threatened by a foreign invader.

Templars: A order who used to regulate the mages and are immune to magic themselves. They now serve as enforcers to Divine Justinia.

Mage College: The college has replaced the circle now that all mages are now free and has let knowledge be freely passed around.

The Inquistion: A extensive organization in the last game headed by the Herald of Andraste. The organization does its best to keep order within all of Thedas, operating outside the jurisdiction of the governments and the Chantry but having ties to both.

The Dalish: Elves who are trying to relieve and recover their past since the ancient race was conquered by the human armies. Normally care nothing about humans if not are hostile towards them.

Very brief summary, there is a lot of lore but hopefully I can explain it better as the story progresses

It is the middle of the day in your home of Starkhaven, for once it seems peaceful until a commotion arises in the town square. A battalion of soldiers without a precise uniform appear, one steps onto a wooden block "Her almighty holiness, Divine Victoria has sent out a decree. All able bodies wishing to serve the maker will join The Holy Expedition, to locate and destroy the remaining Old Gods of Tevinter so that no more Blights will ever threaten our lands again." he begins, holding a large scroll.

Name: Ashiwyn Teasen'ghymn
Race: Elf
Age: 25
Background: The Teasen'ghymn family can be found among many Dalish clans. They are often storytellers, history finders, negotiators, and history keepers. With all of the work they do it's not uncommon to find them believing in The Maker's existence but so far only one clan has some that will follow him and yet stay with the Dalish. They stay because they want their kind to have a place to call home, to reclaim the forgotten knowledge, and to be able to chose who to worship. Ashiwyn was born to this family and was raised in the Brecilian Forest. Her family has taken her to Denerim and other human cities during their travels but she would have to say that she liked Haven and Redclif the most for they were small and seamed to be willing to let nature be. Ashiwyn joined the Wardens a month after the 5th Blight. When she thought she had heard the calling she made her way to Orzammar so she could stop by the two human settlements she loved. When she got to Redclif the fighting helped to snap her out of it. She then joined the Inquisition and has worked in it ever since.

The Inquisition has grown strong, it has influence in every political circle of Thedas and an army that has been proven, reinforced by the addition of the Grey Wardens. You are enjoying a precious moment of peace when a courier steps through the door "Oh good, you are the wardens. The Inquisitor request all of your presences." he declares. Your fellow wardens who have been somewhat disturbing the peace quiet down and look at each other until you see Raelin, a warden who undertook the joining with you, speaks up "Tell his lordship we will be on our way."

OOC: Spoil away, I have played all of the Dragon Age games to the end except Inquisition and I have the book for that one. So I already know the story, how it can go, and how I want it to go.

IC: I nod in agreement before turning to Raelin and smiling. "It's been a while. When did you get here?" I ask as I remember our joining. My mind also wonders why The Harald of Andraste wants to speak with the Wardens after everything became peaceful.

"Nonsense." I say to myself, "Nonsense!" I call out, "I do not care for who sent you! If you are here to rally men and women without a permit then you are breaking the law. Lawbreakers are not welcomed here. Men! Women! Do you listen to this man?" I call out over the clamor, "How do you know that this man is who he says he is? How do you know he has come on a mission? I have seen this performance before from a troop of bandits! They call a rally to arms from the people, leading them out of the safety of the walls and then kill them! Pillage their bodies! Desecrating their souls! Killing women and children! Women and children." I call out my voice easily carrying over the crowed. "Do not listen to this man! He may be a source of evil himself! You manage to bring reason into the crowd who in turn begin to whisper among themselves and after a few shouts of vulgarity towards the crier, the crowd steadily disperses leaving just you and the crier with his band of soldiers "You have interrupted the Divine's great directive. Who are you to stand in her majesty's path?" he speaks larger then himself. In the distance you see a cloaked figure approaching, the mark of the inquisition on his leather coat.

Name: Demikas (Demi to those he is friendly with.)

Background: Born into a small family that was headed by two factions of thought, Demi's mother believed that their city-state needed to expand their influence into the other states to join them into an empire to rival that of even the Orlesian empire in population, production and military might. His father thought that it would be best just to ransack the other states and take their lands. Demi sided with his mother's side of thought but his brother followed his father, causing friction within the family eventually leading to their split. Demi and his mother kept the house while his father and brother left. He is a warrior politician, trying to get into the higher echelons of government where he can actually make a difference while also in the defensive garrison that protects their state.

The rallier takes a step towards you "I'll remember this." he says in a grizzly voice before spitting on the ground by your shoes.
