The U.S. Dollar has been the required monetary device for oil trade. Those who have rejected the dollar have been destroyed. Thoughts?

Thoughts?

1. I like money.
2. When is there going to be something good on HBO?
3. What is this thread really about?
4. Should I go down to the pool there and start a conversation with that cute girl all by herself there?
5. I forgot my 5th thought.

Those who have rejected the dollar have been destroyed.

Please define further

I have to agree with SportShark on this one. Even after you answered his 3rd question, this thread could use some more specifications...

Yes greed has caused wars, a lot of them. yes it is bad. Ok. But that's just about it in the current situation. In this thread, we really do not have much to say

I honestly don't understand anything in the OP.

The U.S. Dollar has been the required monetary device for oil trade.

Are you saying that only the US gets to trade for oil? Cause that's not true. Are you saying other countries are forced to use the dollar when they trade for oil? Cause that's not true either.

Those who have rejected the dollar have been destroyed.

I don't even know how to respond to this. Doesn't make sense.

greed and how its cause the wars in the middle east. "The petro dollar"

Massive generalization here. I'd definitely argue that greed is NOT the cause of conflict in the Middle East, but you haven't really substantiated or delineated your claim so whatever

No, that's just the standard currency to measure oil prices.

everything said above explained my thoughts. people seem to think that the world goes around the usa. whether its the best/only place in the world, or whether its the root of all evil and is blamed for everything thats wrong.
