System of a down!

I don't like distrubed at all...and i love the strange subject material of SOAD's songs

Oh man.....I'd probably have to go with Disturbed cuz i like their vocals, but SOAD has an awesome drummer and guitarists....

Definetly SOAD but disturbed is not far behind.

They both have a different kind of music style in a way. I would have to say system of a down though.

I pick SOAD because their music is much better.

This is interesting. Why do people generally believe SOAD is better that Disturbed?

I for one am going to agree. I rate SOAD higher than I rate Disturbed because SOAD does not pander to any particular demographic, and they have absolutely no qualms about doing what they want.

Also they reference operatic vocals as opposed to the throat-destroying practice of belting, and so are more true to the foundation of all things rock.

Personally I find Disturbed a bit on the commercial, formulaic side which is fine if you're looking for something familiar and appeals to you. But SOAD has me on my toes and screaming along at the same time: a rare feat.

You're too technical Strop! I understand what you are saying, but it is slightly harder to decipher then everyone elses comments!

My view, however is impossible to say. Sadly, I don't listen too that much music! If I do, I listen to Christian Music by people like Hillsong, Casting Crowns or people like Matt Redman or Chris Tomlin.

okay, then. I like disturbed and system of a down. System if a down, however, only has two good albums in my opinion. Those two are toxicity and hypnotize, whereas disturbed has three 1/2 (indestructible, ten thousand fists and believe. the sickness is the half) good albums. So i would go with disturbed

This is quite a silly question, in my opinion!

In one hand, we have quite possibly the worst band in the history of rock, and in the other we have my all-time favorite band in the history of rock...

SOAD is worthless, ear bleeding garbage if you ask me. Their first CD was alright... I have no idea what it was called, I only know it was a picture of a spread out hand. The last CD I bought was Hypnotize... or Mesmerize.... either way, it was total garbage. The only good song on there was B.Y.O.B.

Disturbed, on the other hand, as FOUR (out of four) awesomely entertaining albums! Honestly, I own all four of them and give them an average of 9 stars out of 10.

What does everyone see in SOAD that I don't? Their vocals are painful, their lyrics are TERRIBLEY awful... they have nothing good at all.

i like SOAD better becuse for me they have a better sound then DIS.

System of a down! Disturbed is pretty good too.

I like disturbed by far. SOAD is a little wierd to me.
