the favorite games button is on the chat bar. if the chat is hidden (from a button on the lower right corner) or disabled (from profile settings), u won't see the button
if u want to see the favorite games button and not use the chat, u can simply mark urself as unavailable to chat by unchecking friends > options (the button looks like a gear) > available to chat
