Don't Escape
The Several Journeys of Reemus
A Small Favor
Alice is dead

Recommended standalone point and click games - or parts of series that are not as good:

Reincarnation - Let the Evil Times Roll - while the series is actually pretty alright, this game in particular is a wonderful experience due to the soundtrack, the style and the sense of humor (the latter is present in all Reincarnation games )
There Is No Game - If you don't mind the pixel graphics, here is another point and click to love for its sense of humor
Detective Grimoire - This one's more of an investigative game about interrogating suspects and discovering clues but it's left a lasting memory since I played it years ago
