To those of you who already know me, the only thing I can say is - third time's a charm. To those who don't:

Welcome to the year 1432 on the Island of Tulse. There's a lot of things going on, so I won't bother using a fancy language and try to keep this introduction short and simple.

General info:

This island is isolated from the rest of the world because it's inside an indestructible dome. It's land mass is equal to that of the country of Poland, slightly above 1 million inhabitants and the difference in climate between the north and south is like northern and southern Europe, this results in lots of hurricanes and heavy tornadoes on a regular basis. Roughly 99% of everything here is already discovered. The inhabitants are very similar to humans except for their glowing viper-like eyes and some can use magic. Recently people have discovered gunpowder and some have already started mass producing weapons that require it. Here's how it looks on a map:

Click this link to see a larger picture that also includes the names of the most important regions.

This island has a total of 3 factions and 30 kingdoms and 1 empire, 33 of these were in a 13 year long war 10 years ago. The war ended with a white peace and a 10 year truce that ends in one day from now. Mages make up about 0.0002% of the population (a.k.a. 1 in every 5000 people is a mage). English is the most commonly spoken language here, but some places speak in different languages as well.

Rules:

I want to make a couple of these so that you don't cause me too many sudden problems:

1. Your character is not allowed to be able to go through, damage, change shape or influence the dome in any way.

2. Time manipulation does exist, but has limitations: you cannot skip any periods of time and you cannot go back in time. You can only pause it or make it go faster. Predicting time is allowed, though.

3. You can do anything you desire, hence why this is an RP/RPG. However, you are not allowed to choose the consequences of your actions.

Application sheet:

You only need to post this once in order to start playing. After that posting it is completely unnecessary.

Name, surname, nickname: [The name and surname is obligatory, the nickname is optional. You can also have multiple names or surnames if you so desire.]

Location: [You can either point the location in paint or something similar or tell me the whereabouts of where it is.]

Appearance: [Imagine explaining it to an illustrator.]

Personality: [The longer description, the better.]

Biography: [Everything about your current situation and the past. Things like life-changing events, other characters involved, anything that doesn't break any of the rules.]

Magic abilities: [Only necessary if you plan on having any. If you do, describe the spell and give it a name. These skills can be completely anything. It can be something primitive like shooting fireballs or something complex like having enhanced eyesight if you're 20 feet above sea level.]

Magic:

To explain briefly - it's complicated due to lots of exceptions and conditional exceptions and exceptions to exceptions and so on. The only important thing to note is that when mages run out of mana (we all know what that is), they can still keep using magical spells, but they start losing various random limbs, body parts or blood and die very fast or receive permanent, incurable damage.

Factions and Kingdoms:

Crusaders:

http://i.imgur.com/3xBYoCM.png

People call this the most evil faction and for a good reason. They believe a certain religion and all heretics are either killed or enslaved. Most of their income is made by gold, their army has a high morale due to receiving a lot of money from the government and having the right to do whatever they want, but this faction is about 30 years behind on technology from everyone else.

Vermile's Empire:

http://i.imgur.com/Hzw79Em.png

The island's only empire. Largest land mass, army and navy. Everyone has been living under strict rules and has been forced to follow every Emperor's order since childhood. The king is selfless, and only uses this to improve the Empire, not his personal life. When this Empire is at war, everyone is forced to join the military and use whatever equipment they have for battle.

Guardians:

http://i.imgur.com/oZ0EgTU.png

The most liked and populated faction. The government is led by a council of 7 people, 2 of which are changed every 4 years. The government believes that people should have all the saying and deserve rights to do anything they want. Half of the faction's money is spent on making people's lives better and the other half is spent on everything else. This results in the army having bad equipment and a slow technological progression.

Clarity:

http://i.imgur.com/nfxQ2lU.png

The richest and most influential faction. They are the sole reason why trade between all the various factions and countries exists, the reason why everyone has access to everything. They have the highest amount of mages, the faction is well fortified, their army is small, but well equipped, most technologically advanced and always ready for combat if the need arises.

Leija:

http://i.imgur.com/UbSn5Lg.png

They used to own the Aucen's island and the Islands of Augsten in their entirety and there's a reason they have their own Gulf. They used to be one of the richest kingdoms on the island until they got invaded by Vermile's Empire and are now trying to stop Vermile from invading them completely. They also have their own different language, but the letters are similar to the English language.

Cess:

http://i.imgur.com/0D1rNhg.png

The weakest and least populated kingdom on the island. They are too far from other factions to help them, so the real question is who will invade them first. Currently everyone is on their way out of there.

Holy Indra's Alliance:

http://i.imgur.com/DThRKPO.png

It is a union of the 28 remaining kingdoms who are trying to stop Vermile's Empire's rapid expansion. All of these small 28 countries speak a language that is completely different to the English language. If they were a single kingdom/faction, it would be the most populated and the richest.

Click this link to see the political map.

Final notes:

1. If you decide to be somewhere where English is not spoken, everything in that language will be translated to English for you, but the real English will be switched to something else. Don't ask why I'm going through this trouble. Everything has a reason.

2. Very often I'll say things like "might be" or "seems like". That means it has about a 60% chance of being true and a 40% chance of me trying to trick you. I'll do this very often if you're in a difficult situation.

"That's a good question." he says, looking at the open window. "What do you think?" he looks at you. The cow you left stays where it was and is only looking around. The other cow is walking around the field, like it should.

"Yes. The first thing I did when I came here was that I started knocking, after not receiving a response I attempted to open the door. Then I started yelling and you appeared soon after."

"What if there's some kind of back door that we can use instead? I've visited your father more than I've visited Syther, so I don't actually know this house all that well. How about you look around for some easily accessible windows while I look behind the house?" Nargil checks both cows and stops covering his nose.

Ajelja Gahnajos (KatPryde):

Nargil immediately heads to the back of the house with a quick pace. The closest windows to you are rather small, but are easy to see through. You check the inside of the house and you see that there is a large mess there. All pieces of furniture have fallen over, almost any object that can be easily broken is broken, lots of books scattered all over the place. There are holes in the staircase and some on the floor as well. Other than that, through the window you can see that there's a window on the opposite side of the house that is about as high and wide as a human and close to the ground.

As you notice all this, Nargil, reaching the back of the house, immediately throws up and looks away. After a couple seconds he starts heading your way with one of the coldest looks you've ever seen anyone have. Even before this he was behaving more seriously than he normally does, this is even worse. You've seen him with a facial expression like this only once, which was when he discovered that your father disappeared. He goes past you, heading for the front of the house. As he does so, he says with a voice even more serious than Syther's: "I'd recommend not going over there in the back. All you need to know is that you don't have to worry about the remaining cows, not anymore."

He stops walking as he reaches the corner between this side and the front of the house. He looks directly at you. "Tonight you had a nightmare, that nightmare is what everyone had this night. What I saw was worse than that nightmare. Corpses of cows with peeled off skin thrown together in a gigantic pile and...lungs...everywhere...it is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Syther would never do something as inhumane as that. Nobody would do anything as inhumane as that."

Nargil looks inside the house through a different small window that is closer to him. "Syther wouldn't allow anyone to do this to his cows, only if he is dead. And at this point, it is clearly the case. Therefore, I am going to break in and see everything for myself. If you still feel curious about the back of the house and want to see it, despite my warning, well...you are a clever person, so if you think it is the correct thing to do, then don't expect me to convince you otherwise."

As you back away, Nargil gives you another cold look. You run to the back of the house. The closer you get to it, the more you start hearing lots of flies floating around. Once you reach it, you see it. A lump of meat simply standing there, with a puddle of blood and flies all around it. A removed skin, hanging from a bunch of hooks attached to the wall. The only body parts of the cows that still have skin attached are the cow's heads. Everything from the cow's throats to the back of their stomachs are all is slit open and several lungs are thrown all over the place.

The rotten odor here is much stronger too, so not only do you feel like throwing up any second now, but you start feeling slightly dizzy as well. While you're here, looking, you hear a bunch of planks being broken and falling down on the floor inside the house. Sounds like Nargil has broken the door and is heading inside.

You run to the front of the house. Seeing the broken door you storm inside and see Nargil simply standing there. He is looking around, viewing the entire mess that is the interior. He doesn't seem to be confused. Rather, it seems like he is searching for something, probably Syther, his body or something related to him. After looking for a brief moment that feels like an eternity, he slowly starts going upstairs, not saying a word.

I look for some water to splash on my face.

[No problem. Everyone is busy at least once in a while.]

A few buckets of water are always located under the kitchen table. The kitchen is on the same floor, opposite side of the staircase room to your room. You head to the kitchen, take a handful of water and splash it on your face. Outside the window you see a usual view - a sunny weather, almost no clouds, two story buildings everywhere, except for the mage academy far in the distance, which is 5 stories high.

Ajelja Gahnajos (KatPryde):

As you follow Nargil, avoiding the holes in the stairs, you look at the main room in its entirety before looking into details. There isn't anything noteworthy around. Everything just seems thrown and pushed all over the place without any sort of visible, obvious correlation or context. Nargil is slowly, yet aggressively heading to the room that has the open window. He opens the room's door and stops. You look inside the room too. It seems like Syther's bedroom and in it you see his sitting corpse with blood splashed all over the place. While the view is not pleasant at all, it doesn't make you feel nearly as sick as the view in the back of the house. Nargil's emotionless and cold facial expression has not changed at all.

Nargil pushes your hand off of his back. He looks at Syther's corpse and, without even slightly changing his tone or facial expression, says: "No. I'm not looking for anything anymore." He stops for a second before continuing: "This place is disgusting. The longer I stay here, the further away my sanity is. At this point I am just too tired." After a couple more seconds he turns around and starts heading downstairs.

Right from the start you notice that there are holes not only on the staircase that led up here, but also on the roof, the floor and all of the interior walls throughout the entire house. Everywhere except the exterior walls and the windows. This room was the only one on this floor that had its doors closed, hence why Nargil was headed here first. All of the furniture is not only fallen over, just like the floor below, but also has all shelves open and completely empty, with the content in them seemingly being the various objects that are scattered throughout the floor. You recall this applying to the first floor as well.

There are two other rooms on this floor. One of them is in the same mess as the rest of the house, and the other one only has a couple plates and such thrown on the ground and two shelves open. In that room nothing major has fallen over, nor are there any holes anywhere. While you were looking around, Nargil has reached the front door and is heading outside the house.

After walking downstairs, you see through the broken door that Nargil, having reached a distance of 12 meters (39 feet) from the front of the house, has sat on the ground and is looking in the cloudless sky above. Having reached the outside of the house, you see that both of the remaining cows are walking around in their empty field.

I go back to my bed, reach under it, and grab my chest of money to see how much more I'll need to enter the Magic Academy

While the cow that brought you here has been rather friendly, the other cow behaves as if you're not even there. Meanwhile Nargil decides to lie down on the ground, facing the sky, with his arms open. You can see his lips moving from the distance, he seems to be whispering something to himself.

Zexed Dakumeiji (wookie1196):

In your chest you have saved up 456 Janelings and 23 Vrux. This is a type of currency used everywhere except the Holy Indra's Alliance. One Janeling is equal to 40 Vrux. A bread loaf costs 1 Janeling on average. To enter the Mage Academy you need 1000 Janelings.
