As many of you are aware, Shift 3 was released not so long ago to Armor. Now I've not started Shift 4 yet, and can't tell you when it will crash land, however, the big boss Mr McNeely made it clear with his direction of the end movies (he was the one who wanted those adding on, and what they'd involve,by the way, kudos to him) that a Shift 4 would be out somewhere down the line.
But you'd already guessed that, right?
What this post is about is the fact I want the Armor community involved in the next one, which, like Shift 3, will contain a user generated Players pack section. For Shift 3, I used maps I found out and about on the internet, but for Shift 4, I'd like to try and have them be Armor exclusive creations (cause you guys are like my family! - didn't you get that Christmas card I sent?)
Anyway, I've already seen the Shift 3 maps thread, and I like what I've seen so far a lot, but organizing those maps and chasing up credit would be a massive ordeal, so I've decided on making something a bit more structured.
So please, I'm asking for you to post your maps (or go create one in Shift 3!) as replies to this post and include the following.
1) Your real name (Or a Pseudonym you don't mind being credited as if you're uncomfortable with posting your name)
2) The difficulty of the level (I'm looking for levels for an easy pack, a medium pack, and a hard pack)
3) Your level code, posted as a single line (s a double click selects the whole line for pasting into Shift)
4) A short note about it below (keep it short, as we don't want the post getting cluttered)
Comment: Unfortunately, some of the key doors end up covering spikes and are a bit glitchy, even though the spikes are covered you may still die on them.
Comment: Not hard, but rather interesting how many times you can make a different path with the same area. It took quite a bit of modifying to make this work.
This level can be done in many ways because it's a little messy. There's a risk that you will be traped several times. Clean puzzle type, not much jumping-skills needed.
Oh! And while I'm still writing: Have a fiew ideas for Shift 4. You could have doors/holes (depending on orientation) between the black and white areas. And you could also make triggers for the spikes. At least the spikestriggers sounds like a good idea in my ears. :P
This level have some traps and you need more jumpingskills than brain. And you will probably be spiked many times. :P
By the way, I haven't look so much on others maps. Don't know if they look like many of the others. But this one was a little inspired by Venimas "Room of Mysteries".
This one is a little tricky. Think I got a good balance between puzzling, jumpingskill and to remember traps. Would be fun to hear what you think about my levels. But now I have to go to sleep. :P Extremely fun game anyway. I really love it.
Thanx Hinken. I think we should all make...about six levels,(I guess meaning our player packs) and email them to him.At least so he doesn't have to sort through crap all day. nice levels guys =D
Rather easy but with a little twist in the and that is at least medium. Wanted to make it harder but this was the best i could make it. :P Is made so you shouldn't die but maybe run around a lot when you fail.
Started to name my levels. Aiming to create six levels as WhiteSound said. Was thinking about it myself before to so why not.
