This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.
run/walk: they walk
scream/groan: they groan
day/night: All da time babey!
what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
yeah sure, and why not? OK! So, your uhhh *throws dart at "actions" board* scouting? Ok, so you scouting at *throws dart at "laces" board* downtown New Jersy, aand *throws dart at "zombies" board* a large hoard of about...let's say 100 are all coming at you. You have nothing but a... *throws dart at "weapons" board* M9 (combat knife) and a rusty crowbar, there's also an apartment complex beside you, but since there are no barricades and the doors knocked down, it's likely it's overrun with the zombies.
Hmmmm.... That's a tough one... Hmmmmm.... Could you tell me what the room I am in has??? And where the zombies are, how many survivors and where they are??? Just stuff like that...

Well, 1. Everything you'd find in a regular apartment complex, your out in the open streets as of now, and the zombies are maybe...20 yards (30 ft.) away. As far as survival in general, Zombies are just about EVERYWHERE, and there are no survivors in the scenario, and survivors are extremely scarce (maybe 100 in the WORLD).
@hoodedone: WEll, if your lik,e totally sure that an old drainpipe could take your weight, I suppose so. The apartment complex isn't exactly new...so yeah.
Well, if there were tools or things resembling rope, I would take them, but I dunno what else...
ok well, would you keep rope inside your small apartment in downtown new Jersey? think of the AVERAGE human, how long it would take you on your wild goose chase, time it would take you to give up, and the amount of how fast a zombie moves is found on page 1, so, try and calculate it.
I live in a small town in the moutains of Idle Wild. There's probably a little less than 700 people, so if D-day ever happened I wouldn't be in too much of risk. I live in the only gated community in town, and you need an ID card to open the gates up to get inside. My house is definitaly gated of course, so I think I would have good chances. Ok so here it goes!
When D-Day (Or if it ever) happens I would grab my rifle that I keep in a case that I have in my closet (Yes I do have a license for it, along with deer, quail and other tags to it) and look to see if any of my family is a zombie. Hopefully, if I was lucky, none of them would be, but if something did go wrong like that, no matter how hard I would have to what I have to do. Once I'm done clearing the house, I would gather up food and allot of water (we have a cellar with at least a 5 month supply of food for 3 (Guessed the amount)) then I would pack them in the Escalade. I would then try to go to any friends or family that live near by (In the gated community) and pick them up, along with getting more food and water. Since I have a permit I could drive to Win-Co where I work and since it opens up at 1 and it's in the morning I'd head there! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and as planned. The doors to Win-Co are at least a quarter to a half inch thick of plastic, and theres to sets of them =). We have telephones and computers as well as a t.v in the back, so we could give out distress calls till the power goes poop! If and when that happens, we'd go to the roof make an S.O.S. and wait till about a week. After, we have huge Win-co trucks in the garage, so we'd pile up on food and water till we couldn't pack anything anymore. Hopefully maybe, there won't be to many zombies outside and we can make way to the base that's near by, which has the army weapons and who knows what else. The base is about 40 miles to the other side of the mountain, so we'd make it our home (along with the fact there's no town or city for 40-55 miles on all sides). We'd gather up survivors and train them along with ourselves to fight.
Not sure I wouldn't stay at the Win-Co. Military bases seem a dangerous destination to me. With all the people you seem to have gathered, you couldn't be carrying a lot of supplies in your Escalade, and multiple trips is a formula for disaster.

It'd be very, very valuable for this, and you can weave through cars DURING the chaos!
Hi guys, able to get back on for a few mins, good to see the club's still going strong.

Probably best to lay low for 1-2 weeks. There will be complete chaos during the first hours of the outbreak. It'd be safer to stay locked in your nice gated house.

Army bases seem to be a popular choice. However it would be worth knowing what kind of base it was and the facilities there before you leave. Most likely the army would have been deployed somewhere else by then anyway in this kind of situation, you would probably find an abandoned base with little or no food/weaponry. As for gathering survivors and creating your own private army? Ridiculous and too risky. Better off staying on your own or in smaller groups of 2-3. More mouths to feed for one thing, and the risk of being eaten on the search for survivors will always be there too.

If zombies will roam, your telephone line will be off as well as your internet so I don't see all that much in the distress signal without a radio. Furthermore your location looks like a great one to be and if you plan well you can last quite long.
