This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.

run/walk: they walk

scream/groan: they groan

day/night: All da time babey!

what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!

survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH

guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.

cure: there is none.

where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.

how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME

family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too.
able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.

durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.

doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted
I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!

Maybe, but you really can't look for survivors. If there is one there is gona be maybe 1 survior in an entire city!

Okay here is my plan, for transportation I would use my bike (cars would be bad because of all of the cars left on roads). I would take the crow bar we have in my house, as much food and water as I can, and a compass. I would bike to my school and break into the storage room and grab one of the best bows they have and all of the arrows. I would then head south because winter would be too cold. With my cell phone I would call my friends and see if any are still unzombified. I would then stay on the go until I ether find a great island to live on or reach an ocean.

Excellent point, Skater_kid_who_pwns.

So, if its unlikely youll find anyone, youll have to think carefully about your plan. Keep a few things in mind:

-Health: how athletic are you?
-supplies: what/how much should you take? How will this affect your ability to move?
-Where are you going? what will you do when you get there?
-How densly populated is the area your going through?
-How do you rest? eat? sleep?

Strongbow makes a few good points ..the one to keep in mind the most while moving would be...

-How densly populated is the area your going through?

yes all the others are important ...but if you are going to travel ..which at some point everyone alive would have too most likely.

You can not stress enough how important it would be to stay out of big cities ...they don't have anything you can't get from smaller towns. Just think of some place like Houston Tx ..which has 2.2 million people in it....that is about 2 million zombies ...wow ...I know ..that is along of bastards that want to eat you.

so stay way ...if you are in a big city ...let the panic die down some and pack up and get out.

Also make sure you try to keep some level of communication going ...even though there would be very few people alive ..it would not be impossible to find them....small wave radio would be the only thing I could think off , because most other lines of communication would be down. If anyone can think of some other way of communication please drop a post. I would be interested in hearing it.

A CB radio is good for communicating, at least if someone else has one. Plenty of batteries lying around in store so power isn't a problem. But as for a place to run, build a shelter far north during the summer. If you can travel back and forth between two shelters seasonally. The zombies freeze in winter and you cultivate your own food in the spring

Lets look at a more basic checklist:

You have decided to move to an elementary school as a defensive position. Schools and prisons are highly fortified and great for getting your wind back. You have approximately 15 miles to get there. Bicycles...ok, thats fine. However, you have to pack and carry supplies. You will be traveling through a medium density infectious area, so stealth and speed are crucial.

What would you pack?
How much weight would you carry?
How would you carry it?

lets see how we survivors do...

My 30-30 plus extra shells, a machete, for stealth kills, you know, regular light weapons. Non perishable foods. If a long siege begins i'd try to bring seeds to grow food. other than that a backpack and a if I could carry it a sleeping bag.

Ohh hate to be you two guys.
A Machete may seem as a good idea but getting in close combat with it isn't
A zombie would wreck you up.
If you are going to have a machete then tape it on to a rifle or machinegun.
Seems more safer than putting away your gun and pulling out your machete.

Question: If your ballsy enuff and tough and strong as a bull can you punch a zombie so hard his head will crumble as it takes flight?

But a machete is a slashing weapon. It's quiet too. the only other practical options for stealth are silencers(illegal in most states) or a bow and arrow, a crossbow, and an Average Joe will have a hard time accessing or effectively using either.

Another advantage with a machete, is it's light and short. It won't slow you down and the shortness means it's good for close quarters.

@Trojans, what kind of handgun, the caliber and model matter a lot.
