This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.

what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
We have had the shotgun and the pistol for a long time. Emergency guns I guess :P
Ok. If people have heard of the zombie outbreak already, the streets will be chaotic. People will be scrambling like butterballs all over the place, trying to scamper any supplies they can get their hands on.

I could think you have a hunting rifle in your house you grabbed, but still. Define where you obtained it.

The virus commonly used is not even a virus, but a blood transferred parasite that will control the victim, making it aggressive. The victim does not actually die from this, thus is not decaying. To mention another virus (advertising myself:P), hungers are not dead either, and would very much rip you apart if you even were able to survive for five days in a house. At the point where an outbreak would be prominent, most of the hungers would still be more or less - sane, thus able to open doors whatever way it might be, get through windows or set traps.
What is stopping Zombies from eating each other?, 2 if they are still living then what about necessities such as water, a living person can only live about a week or so without water, a starving person a month or so but at some point will be too weak to move...
So no undead corpses coming out of the ground since most of the brain functions can only last about 10 minutes after death, also if it is a parasite wouldn't normal ways to kill a human still be effective...not just blowing its head off...

The zombies don't eat each other beacuse there not actually going to eat you, just spread the infection. So Biting another zombie would do no good for them.

Notice how there is a parasite attached to the brain. The person is Dead, as in they are no longer in control, and have no idea there a zombie. But the parasite takes over the brain, and controls the body with it. And the parastie is pretty much self sustaning. feeding off the hosts body, and it is ratehr small, so it won't die for a long time.
And We never said anything bout zombies coming out of the ground. No one ehre suggested any thing of the sort. thats called movies dude.
And the parastie controlls the host. The host is "dead" but the body is "alive" due to the parastie controlling the brain. There for, if an arm where to be blown off, it would not hurt the parastie, it would only have one arm to controll.

Not shopping, stealing. They will not care who dies i nthe procces. They will get food, and weapons, and kill any thing that gets i nthe way of such.
And seeing as how shotguns are a bad choice, and the gun store is on the other side of town, I would NOT recomend going there.

The virus has 1 goal that was programmed into it, it is a form of genetic engineering: Its main goal is to spread the infection. There is no specification as to how much the infection should spread, hence the apocalypse.
But anyway, to answer your question about them not attacking each other: They could, but it'd be difficult in order to do that. They hunt via scent. If you can get the goliath to smell like you, then sure they might attack it. They dont' have any real way to communicate. Since the moans and groans of the zombie is from teh lobotomized human.
Also, the body does decompose, but not in ways you'd expect. The parasite covers the cells in the body, and then sucks them dry. The parasite feeds the final pieces of the brain and bones, thus keeping its puppet alive. So after a while, the parasite would have eaten the body.

To camp out there, I figure thats the most logical place to camp out, because it's packed with food and water, and it doesn't have a lot of windows and doors.
Food + Water = Good
Not much Windows and doors = Bad... And Good
It would be good if zombies are only coming threw one door because it would be an easy shoot out for you and your team if you've got one. It' would be bad because what if to many zombies come and you need an escape route urgently?
I guess it really depends how many doors there really are.

I got an idea, aren't churches a good place to build a small outpost for your fort, after everyone's dead that is. Most churches windows are high above the ground you know? By the way, plan will be ready in 1 - 8 days...
Oh and by the way, is the Glock a good zombie killer? cause it's the primary firearm for the western Australian Police.... so i could get my hands on one if a pass a dead policeman or i kill a zombie policeman...
Okay, obviously my plan is a little dopey :P so, let me try again.
Zombies are invading. I'm taking Dannydaninja's advice and hiding out in a church. I have four milk jugs filled with water. Lot's of survival food such as nutri-grain bars, a lot sandwiches, and some vegetables (FTW). I have a shotgun, a pistol (which I have already gotten a few years BEFORE the invasion :P) and a dull knife. There are about five other people camping with me. Me and my other campers have shoved a big cross through the door handles. We have also put some of the furniture and benches up against the door. Some of the other campers have hunting rifles, pistols, and some some don't have guns at all but have big hunting knives, pipes, you name it. I am holding my shotgun, aimed at the door. My pistol is hooked to my belt. In my bag next to me is my ipod, and an extra change of clothes. Now I just sit and wait for the inevitable.
Okay, I think that one was a bit more reasonable. And uh... less lame.
