This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.
run/walk: they walk
scream/groan: they groan
day/night: All da time babey!
what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!
survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH
guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.
cure: there is none.
where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.
how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME
family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too. able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.
durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.
doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!
They tend to burn slowly, and although they would most certainly kill an undead swarm, (I would NEVER use them for individual kills,) it would not be very immediate. You would have to be very very certain that the shambling masses you just ignited dont end up setting fire to everything in their path, including your defense, or worse, yourself! A second problem with incinderies is more logistical. They dont really store well, are cumbersome to pack and transport and require a degree of training to use effectively. Keep in mind that as the modern world crumbled during the first stages of the Panic, ready supplies of petrol would have most certainly been depleted or eliminated altogether, leaving survivors to scavenge for it, (siphoning vehicles, gas pump resevoirs, etc.) which is a lengthy and dangerous thing to do. Any supplies found should be rationed and not wasted on a horde of undead, as gratifying as it would be to see.
Well that's all good but if you being chased by a horde of zombies you just might have to use what you've looted to survive if you haven't already found some type of safety nearby. But for the rest of you post i do not dispute your logic on the terms of the flames and the use of the flamethrower...nicely done.
IF you were to use fire, you would want to be on concrete, on wet grass, or wet surface. you could also wet it yourself, but that would waste your water. Also, have a way to extinguish the fire, undrinkable water from a canteen, perhaps?
Hey guys, I just thought of a good zombie species. Tell me what you think!
I call the virus Influenza Sicstatus or the "thus it stands flu" in latin. The zombies are referred to as Sicstats.
The virus evolved from the H1N1 vaccine. H1N1 was engineered to reverse its normal results. The medium of the H1N1 was mucus from the throat. The medium was so that the vaccine would more easily spread throughout the bloodstream. The virus was accidently mutated in the mucus. It became partially normal and partially reversed. when it was in the human trials, it seemed fine. It passed inspection and was released for public use. as the virus passed through the bloodstream, it confused the body. people would become dizzy and out of breath. the virus began absorbing the oxygen in the bloodstream to such a degree, that the heart stopped after three weeks. The virus continued through the bloodstream, up to the brain, reactivating it. Now that the virus had completely taken over, it packed together in clumps in tearsacks and blood production areas. soon all of the bodily fluids were infected. Not only did the disease spread like regular flu, but also in the bodily fluids. The zombies were now like the people except they could only use a fraction of what regular humans used. the people weren't capable of learning, yet knew nothing. all they knew how to do was eat. and yes, they can run.
(this one's way cooler) Now, there was another result from this virus. specifically from people with asthma, and for you that don't have it, asthma is a condition you can be born with that limits your lung performance and fills them with mucus. As I said, the mucus was the medium for the vaccine. So as you can imagine, there was another mutation of the virus as it passed through the lungs, the virus was twice as energetic and spread rapidly througout the body. when it got to the brain, it went to far and stopped at the point where the adrenaline is stored. when the brain was reactivated, it also activated the adrenaline, increasing the rate of bodily functions by far. Its muscle mass would increase until it left its skin behind. skinless, it lost blood in a continuous flow, yet the blood was being made at a rate that could keep up with the losses. also, because it no longer had skin, was not able to survive any amount of sunlight. And no, it couldn't heal fast enough. they only come out at night. They also are very vulnerable and prefer to crawl most places. Therefore they are dubbed "nightcrawlers". nightcrawlers are stronger and way faster than any human, but have little protection. The nightcrawlers also have the ability to learn, and quickly. They can use strategies and will flank you and your party. I there was ever a better idea than that axe you have been using for the rest of the Sicstats, it would be a gun or UV light.
Hope you liked them! we should use these for a scenario.
Nope, we shouldn't use those for a scenario. Only members can creat viruses.
You must not of read page 144 or page one.
To become a member you need to create a plan about what you would do if you were in your home when an out break accourd.
Then answer a scenario.
Scenario then?
You are walking through the isles of wall mart. Teh frozen section to be exact, not really finding anything but long since melted ice cream, and some rotten food. It wsa just a faster route to the caned goods. As your walking through you spie a bit of blood of blood on the floor and walk over to investigate.
"Hrm...strange. It's...fresh?"
Fresh blood means people. And people means survivros and help.
You look down the next isle to see a line of blood. At the very end there is a screw driver. Walking over to it you see it is a bit rusty, and about a foot long from handel to tip.
You continue to follow the blood, and round to enter the next isle.
as you do so a zombie limps around the other side. Looking for the blood trail again, your schoocked to see part of the ceeling caved in. There is just a small hole for you to crawl through. On the other side there are to zombies happily munching away at there fresh kill. You got there to late.
Though you should be used to this sight by now, you gasp, and the zombies turn towards you.
Your now trapped. If you crawl back through the hole, the zombie o nthe other side will eat away at your face.
So Now for the challenge.
You are stuck in the Frozen section of wallmart. With two zombie, and your only armed with a screwdriver.
The isle is to narrow for you to simply run through the two zombies, so figure something out.
Oh, right, you guys ignored my plan because you had that flamethrower scenario. well, here it is again:
1. As soon as the virus spreads, everyone in the area would be evacuated to the nearest military base, which I am not at liberty to discuss. 2. We would be gathered inside the largest building on the base, which I am not authorized to say more than: there are shops in it. 3. My parents would comply and follow the directions the soldiers give us. The military will know nothing of the proper procedure of survival. 4. I would escape to the section of the building that is not open yet. there is no way in besides a corridor that is blocked by a blanket of bars. I am probably only the fourth person in existance that knows how to get by them (but have never attempted it 5. The zombies would definately be way too stupid to get by the bars, and luckily the power tools and food sections are behind the bars (they are almost fully stocked.) 6. I would survive as long as I can on these. When I run out, well, I guess I'm lucky to survive that long. (the night zombies are HARDCORE and will stop at nothing, but are not invincible.) (I based my plan off the Sicstat virus 'cause I wasn't sure if there was a standard)

So there's a super secret place that will protect everyone inside from zombies, but you can't tell us about it? Not starting so well.
3. My parents would comply and follow the directions the soldiers give us. The military will know nothing of the proper procedure of survival.
However, they do shoot to kill.
4. I would escape to the section of the building that is not open yet. there is no way in besides a corridor that is blocked by a blanket of bars. I am probably only the fourth person in existance that knows how to get by them (but have never attempted it
See my last point, I'm pretty sure the military don't want you compromising their super special awesome secret mountain hideout.
5. The zombies would definitely be way too stupid to get by the bars, and luckily the power tools and food sections are behind the bars (they are almost fully stocked.)
Pretty sure the army can get power tools, I highly doubt those are the only ones in existence.
6. I would survive as long as I can on these. When I run out, well, I guess I'm lucky to survive that long. (the night zombies are HARDCORE and will stop at nothing, but are not invincible.)
Locking yourself up, waiting for everyone to go coo-coo for cerebellum, then making a mad dash though the middle... Flawless.
(I based my plan off the Sicstat virus 'cause I wasn't sure if there was a standard)
You obviously never read page 144. In my opinion, your plan need major revising.
Actually, a much more zombie survivor-friendly house I had was in Turkey, and impoverished country. You can look it up, I swear I lived there. 1. The door was made of steel and has no handle. It can only be opened with a key. (The door swings open when unlocked. The windows were also barred and protected. ) 2. There was a large concrete wall around it with spikes on top and a steel gate with spikes also. Like I said, this house is already tricked out. 3. We had a lot of food stocked up and even had fruits and vegetables growing in our yard. This would be a great way not to run out of food. 4. We even had balconies that we would be able to look out from, or make signals. 5. We also had a basement that was under a hidden door. All this is because we lived near the border of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Georgia. 6. All we would really need to do is keep the gate guarded. Then we could throw out all our alcohol as molotovs from the balconies. I really would have fun with an invasion in that house. Everything I told you is true. And there are even shotgun stores everywhere.
