You have just gotten to your mothers house (in a heavily populated town in Tennessee) after the initial outbreak. You board up the windows and doors, only to realize that there are several broken down walls in this huge house, and there are 5 goliaths looking you in teh face. There are countless others in the building (~40). You only have your Colt Python with you. There are no extra bullets besides your 6. You'd find anything in a common apartment in Tennessee here.
Hmm... So. Im geussing there is a horde outside, and 5 zombies inside. For one, I wouldn't try to fight too many.
But here goes. Geussing I am now in a kitchen area, I would probably take a chair (Hoping its one of those fold up ones, which is commoni n apartments)
I would take the fold up chair, and keep the gun at my holster or pocket.
I would then take the chair, and smack hard with the chair, but also, if there is only one near me, I would take the chair, get his head stuck in the chair, then close it, and keep twisting the chair, so I twist its neck to the point its head is snapping off. And I can do this, I've grabbed people by the throats before, and ripped out their vocal cords with my bare hands. (I was in military, im not a pyschotic killer. Yet.)
Whatever the case, I would do that, and geussing there is a window, with a ledge and some metal staircases at the side, and geussing that my mother is dead, I would climb down the ramp, and just see if there is a nutcase of zombies down there. Now that I have done that, geussing this is a 4 storey building, and im one 3rd floor, I would probably see if I can climb up to the roof via the windows, and then I would just see if I could get away from the zombies. I still have my pistol, but not the chair. I would probably see how far the ledges of other buildings are, then leap across the gaps. It shouldn't be too hard, and im like a monkey at climbing and swimming. Thats actually my part time job is escorting tourist's through waterfalls, so im used to climbing and stuff, plus my military experiences, and that and im nto one lazy couch potatoe, as my boss would fire me and then eat my eyeballs. (He stinks like a zombie too, and sounds like one, but has brains.)
So, I would ocntinue doing that, until I know im in a at least safer area. I would probably then see if I can climb back down, and then go on, VERY carefully, and check the streets, and the stores. I hate going ont he streetsi n dangerosu events, as it was dangerous in military. So I would take extreme caution, watching from the roofs for a bit. I would then, with my 6 bullets, watch out, and run up apartment staircase at first sign of trouble. But I would basically repeat this process, and scavange food. However, Since this is Tennisee, the weather isn't too bad most of the time, so I would probably sleep on the roofs. Then I would continue this strategy for a bit, never staying on one roof for more then 2 days.
Thats my plan for now. Loloynage,
Remember to revise those points. And remember, your not superman. You would be scared too if you had rotting corpses that are trying to rip your face off. Even I would be scared, after all the grisly sights i've seen. I've seen corpses, but seeing them walk... and trying to kill me... takes it a little far.
Revise a bit. It's not bad. Just be VERY careful, and revise your points. I like how your methods of obtaining food water ect. Light pack at the start. But be careful of how you search the place, and what do you do, how long you stay there, or if you are camping( Which you said you weren't) Block the entrances better. Like move vending machines in front of the doors, or what not (just the front, the back should be solid metal, so no worries)
And yeah. But those points, are to revise. And also, how will you avoid zombies while going out. And also to answer your qeustion of downtown and residents... depends what city you are. Im in Dominican, and in my town... we don't really have those type of districts. In my town, which is a small fishing town, we have the main marketplace/docks, then on the outskirts are farms and houses. But... for bigger cities, and also when I went to America (I got to Miami every year) The suburbs aren't too crowded but.. It's downtown I would worry about qauntity of zombies, but also more supplies. In the Sub Urbs, its more dangerosu because you can't really tell if zombies are in houses, or not. So, both are dangerous. But for Downtown, take precatuions such as survellaicne of the area, as there is some tall buildings, so go to the roofs, get your bearings, and for sub urbs.. check area's in a systemic approach. Never go bouncing all over the palce. Thats suicide. Check houses routinely, and never overlook something, and don't rush into places. Thats a good way to rip your face off. My friendl earn't that the hard way in real life, when he got a whole buck shot right into his chest, after rushing into a shack, when we were clearing a farming hamlet.
Those are my revisements for you. Work on those, and you'll be in here in no time.
