This is a completely serious club, people who make a decent enough plan will be able to comment and review other plans. Here is some zombie info.

run/walk: they walk

scream/groan: they groan

day/night: All da time babey!

what they attack: EVERYTHING THEY HEAR, OR THAT MOVES!

survivors: very very little, like near 100-1000 people on EARTH

guns: This is real time, being your neighboorhood and everything, you have all the resources you have in your house.

cure: there is none.

where to go: so long as you have a plan to get their, go for it.

how much you can carry: AGAIN, THIS IS REAL TIME

family members: theres a high chance they are zombehs too.
able to join: if you didn't read, just make a good plan.

durability: they can take ALOT of damage, worse than playing last stand 2 with just a pistol for the entire game when the zombies have twice as much life.

doors: they can't work a doorhandle for the mostpart of their brain is already rotted
I am still making my plan right now, but I think some of you can do it. Let the zombie surviving begin!

I would go to the police station(if it was safe enough)because there is communications gear, weapons(lots), body armor(bullet proof vests if they could help), and barracade makeing supplies.

The police station could be a good idea , but it could be a death trap also ...its a building your not going to be completely familiar with , and it could be crawling with undead cops and criminals ...but if you could get in and out of there you could get some good gear...but you would not want to stay for any amount of time unless you have plenty of food and water with you...because you have no way of getting more with out leaving to do so.

but if you can get in an out ..you can get some good guns that could help keep you alive.

if they have them I would suggest grabbing an AR-15 or a C8 ..or some type of semi-auto rifle. and a good handgun...that way you have all your bases covered.

Also, a police station is the first place that people seeking protection would go. Including a high rate of infected and turning people. That and churches may be bad.

Do not forget Hospitals ...they could be the worst.

@steevo: youre correct to a point.
Ive also fired a shotgun, but I had a bit more difficulty with it. The shotgun can be useful in short range or tight situations, im certainly not doubting that. However, keep in mind that it is a weapon that requires a bit of familiarity and can be a hinderance, as well.

@Fate: Absolutely correct.
Bieng in the middle of a class 4 outbreak, you have to look at human nature for a second. Outbreaks of that magnitude dont explode overnight. Small outbreaks and reports of strange incidents would pop up in the weeks leading up to the plague. Police would be called out for all manner of disturbances. People, when the actual Panic starts, will be heading to "safe" places. Police stations, National Guard facilities and Churches (God protection).
The chances of infected going there as well is VERY high.
So while there might be a decent stockade of weaponry and protection available, more than likely youll find a decent collection of undead as well. Proceed with CAUTION, survivors.
The same goes for Hospitals, grocery stores and of course
THE MALL. When considering pillaging any of those places, use CAUTION, STEALTH and COMMON SENSE.

Im still quite interested in how you survivors would handle the scenario posted on page 10. Read it carefully and think for a moment about your next move.

I'm going to use the format introduced by Strongbow.

Health: I'm small and skinny, but I can sprint for up to ten minutes when I have to, and keep up a normal run for about two hours. The problems are that I have asthma, so I'd be taking from my inhaler regularly. I also have a really bad immune system.

Supplies: I would pack mostly non-perishables, mainly canned food. As I said before, my immune system is weak, so I'd be forced to take medicine. For extra food I'd take a fishing rod.

Weapons: Well, I'm not a gun guy or a sword guy. I can shoot a gun, but that's about it. I would probably pack an AK-47, as they are easy to use and are powerful guns. I'm also a decent shot with a bow, but although a bow is more accessible than a gun for me, a bow is still very inaccurate. For short range, well, like I said, I'm a good runner.

Location: I live in the Seattle city limits, but my house is in a sparsely populated area (forest). Near me is Puget Sound, with many small, uninhabited islands.

Plan: I would wait a day or so after the outbreak, killing my family if I have to. After that I would pack my food, medicine, and fishing rod, and take my parents car to the nearest motorcycle store. After that, I would swing by a gun store, and grab a tent from the Big 5 on my way to the beach. When I get to the beach I would transfer my stuff into the nearest boat and take it to one of the smaller islands. From there I would live until my food ran out, then make trips back to get more.

Can I join? If so, my dad works at a grocery store and gets lots of free or discounted stuff, so I'd be good on food for a while, and he collects swords, axes, knives, daggers, rifles, pistols, shotguns, armor, things that i can't describe other than they have blades...

My Parent's shelves in their walk in closet are chock full of ammo for Dad's guns, and I would load everything into one of my many most likely dead neighbours' pickup trucks, grab their keys, ransack houses, then get to the nearest overrun gas station and stock up on food, drinks, and gas. Then, off to the nearest gun shop.

Careful with the gun shops though. Once the **** hits the fan the owners might be a little aggresive to anyone coming to their stores. But if I had that kind of food and ammo, I'd fortify the house first and raid once the general population has evacuated.

Also think about how bad cars are, a lot of people will be on the road, not to mention abandoned cars. Take a bike or walk so you can avoid having to wait.

Well, if you are going a far distance cars are better. For my plan way back there someweer I would have to drive over an hour to a remote location! Thats alot of walking and by the time I got threr my food supply would be gone and I would probably be dead!

Yeah but with a car you might get stopped by road blocks or build up of cars from people who are also trying to use cars.

Excellent points, everyone.

I see a lot of people arming themselves to the bloody teeth. Not a bad idea, but lets think for just a moment about whats going on around you...in neighborhoods, communities, cities, countries.

When a class 4 outbreak reaches its mature stages, the undead are basically starting to "congregate". Large swarms, usually half a dozen or more, will be shambling about, devouring everyone in their path. Homes will be broken into, zombies crashing through porch windows and scratching at doors. People will be in an absolute state of PANIC. Roads will become clogged with traffic, accidents on all sides, as people try to flee. Cars will be abandoned obstacles. The infected may die in their cars, reanimating in their seats.
Homes will become "strongholds" as families attempt to batton down and fight, or hide. Every gunshop, grocery store, petrol station and warehouse will be looted, or converted to strongholds.
Firefights will abound. Police will set up blokades and defensive positions, along with National Guard, if theyre available. People, as well as ghouls will most certainly be shot.
So, you, the survivor will have to either risk the streets and become lunch OR hide and protect yourself from zombies, looters, trigger happy neighbors and stray bullets. This could last for SEVERAL days. When you do decide to move, either from neccessity or just a desire to get the bloody hell out of there, most of your supplies will NOT come from stores. They will come from those who were NOT as lucky as you. You may have to pat down a corpse, or take out a zombie who happens to be wearing a sporting pistol on its freshly reanimated hip. An AK-47 and 100 rounds of ammunition will NOT be sitting around waiting for you. You will have to work for EVERY BLOCK of ground. Bicycles, motorbikes or just your feet will be the best way to get ANYWHERE.
Your survival will depend on those first few days. Worry about what to eat, where to sleep, how to get past the rambo sniper nearby, where to GO. Weaponry will become available as fortune allows.
----------------------------------------------------------
Its day 10 of the Panic. Its nearing evening, and you sneak through the broken store-front window of a dilapitated Wal-Mart. The aisles are strewn with all manner of goods. The smell of rotting food and flesh lingers in the air. As you pick your way down the nearly depleted canned food aisle, you hear a sound. You immediately crouch and raise your weapon. After a few seconds of silence, you hear it again...a soft moan.
Cautiously, you lightly step your way down to the end of the aisle. The sound seems to be coming from behind the spoiled meat counter, but you don't see anyone. You have your supplies, (at least a few), and you have a bit of light left.

Survivors, what do you do?

First I'll attempt the scenario on page 10.

In real life I would probably run away, screaming my head off, but then again in real life I would probably not be a survivor. Now, if I somehow was a less impulsive and braver person I would probably use the two dead survivors as body shields, and use their guns to shoot the bastard so as not to waste my own ammo.

For this scenario I would probably take all the canned foods I could carry, keeping my eye on the meat counter. Should a zombie head pop up, well zombies are known for an absence of brains, so I wouldn't want to destroy that rumor. After my looting session I would fall back to whatever barricade I had already set up.

Strongbow, you're kind of turning this into an RP session. I'm not complaining. As a matter of fact, it's quite fun...
