I enjoy watching both of them, but Bear Grylls is way more entertaining to watch and he shows you where to go to find people when your in the wild, while Les Stroud just stays in one place for a week, maybe eats one meal and then his team comes and rescues him.
Why would anybody think Bear is legit? He walks with a camera crew and it even shows it on one episode. And climbing to the top of mount everest isn't hard at all with gear and some crew. Hundreds of people have done it and like 2% of them died.
