what heathen created this unique word. There are great funny videos about it. It is in almost every R rated movie, and used as an verb, and adjective. It acctualy has a hand signal to be used as.

Wow I never thought about the word that way. It makes it seem like it is an important word because it is used daily and its in movies and it even has its own hand signal. Its wrong but it is probably one of the most used words... sadly.

Its wrong?
Its nothing but a sound just like any other. It wont make your ears pop.

If it hurts people then tooooooooo baddddddddd. There always has to be that word, because it expresses anger (In some cases). You cannot make people not be angry and if it wasn't the f word that people used, it would be something else.

It is just a word, it depends on how you use it. All words are like that. Let's take spanking for example. now, when I say spanking, everyone thinks of the punishment, but spanking also means at a brisk, jogging pace. example; she ran at a spanking pace. The "F" word also has multiple meanings listed above, but because all of them are inappropriate things, it is seen as a negitave word. B!%$^ is another great example, that also has multiple meanings, but most are negitave. It can mean a Naggy woman, a prostitute, but it also means a female dog.
We are human, and we have a compulsive need to categorize things, usually this categorization is either positive or negative. This diagram explains it a little better

____Positive Words______|____Negitave Words______
X | Y
A | B

Using A,B,X,Y, as variables, we can see that we categorize words into either positive words or negitave words, but with everything, there is an exception, words like the ones above are the exceptions. They fit into both categories, but we like to put things into a negitave spot. We are tought this method of categorizing objects, words, places, anything, and it goes to our children, and their children, and so on.

I couldn't have said it any better, pyro. Actually, I don't even think I could've said that. Where'd you get that from, anyways?

i use the f word in about 80% of my conversations. the only time I choose not to use it is in class, at work, and when speaking with respected adults.

The F word is only bad because we, everyone in the world, made it bad. The word S*** just meant you just pooped but everyone else made it a word you use when your furious. The word A** meant a Donkey's butt but everyone out their made it about you being stupid of something. The word B**** was meant to mean a Girl Dog but everyone started using it as a bad word too.

All our swear words are only bad because we made them that way. Like Drako said, they were all meant as innocent things, but then whenever somebody said it, it was considered swearing. And now all those words are negatively used today.

We know they're bad because we made them that way, but that doesn't mean they're okay.

The reason those words are considered negative is because the negative version is so offensive and used so much more often. Sure, it's just a sound, but that doesn't make it okay to say it, since it may make others feel uncomfortable or offended.

I'm not saying you shouldn't say anything to offend anyone in any way ever (otherwise you really wouldn't be able to say anything at all). But, show some respect towards others.

Also, the 4-letter F-word is a verb, and sometimes a noun in the way Drace said it, but it isn't an adjective without -ing or -ed at the end.

So, yeah, you should say it only in extreme situations.
