to the asteroid problem, there is already many ideas how to stop an asteroid from hitting.One idea is to hit the asteroid with lots of powerful bombs to move it so it doesn't hit.Another is to send up a satellite with a laser to constantly be on the look-out for asteroids and when spots one to shoot it with its laser until it far enough so the earth doesn't get hit.
We could all die tomorrow. I think it is not something to worry about. Try to live your life to the fullest and make it count because you only get 1 life. Global climate change could be our downfall since so many people still don't care enough to help out.
in about 150 years our population will reach near 15 billion people. many scientists and scholars believe this will be the beginning of the end of our population. at this point there will be too many people to feed and non renewable resources will be completely consumed. then the population will slowly dwindle. this won't be the end of humanity but it will be a point where mass populations will no longer exist.
a few centuries ago, people still used natural resources and also even though dieing isn't a pleasant thing, it will happen so i think everyone just needs to accept that fact
Drace is right, no resources, no problem. Man kind has done it before, we can do it again. It also depends on what resources you're talking about. Oil? We can live without it, it'll be hard at first, but still possible. We can get food, we can get water, we can get shelter. That means we can live.
Now there are only a few things that could possibly end man-kind.
1) A huge asteroid comes TO KILLZ US ALL! Now that is something quite possible, but also easier to locate. If something big enough to wipeout all humans comes, then I don't know, because a laser would destroy the mass, but create lots of smaller, but still deadly, land masses.
2) God comes to set his Kingdom on Earth. No explanation because this is a religios belief with no science technically to back it up.
3) Every woman refuses to have sex, therefore ending reproduction, etc. etc.
HA, like that will ever happen ^.^
4) A disease such as the one from "I am Legend," suddenly outbreaks, ending us all. Maybe not a whole new disease, but one that has grown stronger. A contagious disease with no cure could easily get us all.
There could be more on a religious level, but those are the top 4 reasons.

Well Estel I think #5 would probably be the theory of nuclear winter, where we all kill each other with weapons of mass destruction.
Why do people think were going to have such a massive nuclear war? No one is going to start a war when both sides know nuclear weapons can be used. Unless someone actually wants to end the whole world, not gonna happen.
True, True, but I don't thin it will kill ALL of mankind. Just most of it ^.^
And Drace, not really debating on the likelyhood of that occurance, but logically no one would (well, no one that has somewhat of a brain) start a nuclear war knowing that the other side(s) have nuclear weapons. But it is still possible.
