Everyone knows what school Uniforms are, but I wanted to know AG's side of the story.
Here are some of the for's and against's on School uniforms.
For- *It is believed to cause less fighting *People are more concentrated academically rather than with how they look. *It would eliminate offensive clothing in school
Against- *People don't get to be themselves *People are miserable *Clothes would cost more (depending on the type of uniform) What does AG think?
In France, there are no uniforms. They have been banned by the socialists in 1968. The funny thing is that a lot of kids in France would love to wear unifors, and are jealous of GB, whereas in GB, a lot of kids are jealous of French kids who don't have to wear uniforms!
I think we all want what we don't have... typically human.
I'd much rather have jeans and a t-shirt for every day, rather than a blazer, a tie, a button- up shirt, and I would hang myself if I had to wear slack shorts and knee- high socks. To me, that is crossing the line of gay. These two kids should just hang themselves... right now! The knee- high socks are the gayest thing ever!!
Absolutely not.Kids need to be able to express themselves in any way that they feel is necesary. If someone forces them to do something they wont be able to do that.
I don't hate school uniforms. I am sorta actually glad we have them. I have to spend less money on clothes (even if I do get uniforms at American Eagle), I don't have to worry about what to wear, and it has been proven to have a better learning atmosphere.
Now, there are some good points to having no uniforms, but I would have to spend MUCH more money on clothes. I would also have to worry about what is "cool" or "opular" to wear.
As for this:
My uniforms are much better. Guys can wear tan or navy pants with a red, white, or blue polo, or we can wear a light blue, white, and yellow oxford.
It is the same for girls except they can wear skirts.

Express themselves? You do that through personalty, not "cool" clothes.
uniforms are probably better.. especially in gang areas.. individuality is bad in some cases, plus its just disgusting and pathetic to see kids wearing clothes that intentionally dont fit and sag.. its a disgrace.
@ gman1000 How come girls get an extra choice? How is that fair? As a whole, I don't think uniforms cut down on bullying. A group could plan to ware one color of socks... The bottom line is you can't stop kids from hating each other...
nothing is fair, don't worry about it. I think Uniforms are a good idea. It instills a sense of importance in school. Public schools, where you can wear whatever you like, are like a jumbled group of kids that show up sometimes because they have nothing better to do. I never had to wear uniforms, but I think they would have been beneficial. I believe that more people would take their classes more seriously, and a pretty good amount of the separation between groups would be decreased. Most of he people in my high school separated themselves from others based on their images. There would obviously still be separated groups, but not to such an extreme because it's not easy to see what type a person is if they all look the same. Also I don't think that uniforms would have ruined it for creative, unique people. People who are creative will always find a way to express their creativity.
I don't think it would cause that much less fighting and improve the academic performance I personally wouldn't be able to afford it since the dry cleaning cost like $100
