i really don't think it matters, because I am pretty dang sure that an experienced 20 year old can beat a 14 year old, if anything they are hurting their chances of gold medals
Well there are rules that they made and they have to follow so I think it does matter. Little 14 year olds are more flexible and lighter than older people. That makes a very unfair advantage.
china has been weirdin the olympics first they had comp generated fire works for the cameras.. then they had the little girl lip sing beacuse the real one wasnt pretty enough.. it wudnt suprise me to see that they had been cheating in gymastics
Well, the underaged competitor affair is under investigation by the IOC. It will be interesting to see first what they do.
You can tell when a girl has hit puberty.
I may be outdated but I believe that part of the old strategies for gymnasts was to actually delay puberty or somehow circumvent it? At least I heard that sometime a while back but that could be completely wrong: one of the best vaulters is a mother of two.
The rules are the rules though, occe. Age does matter, because when China puts in underage contestants, it undermines all the hard work that the other athletes have gone through while they were waiting to compete.
they should be striped of their medals, and every one that was under them should get medals. they strip people of medals for drugs, they need to enfoce the rule of age also. no offense to the chinese but the gymnasts are big fat CHEATERS!
ill admit i think china has pulled some weird stuff in the olympics. and ya its possible some of them did cheat but overall i dont think they did. the only issue i have with china is having that one 9 yr old girl lip synch during the opening ceromonies cause the other one wasent pretty enough
China has pulled some weird stuff, what with the fake fireworks and the lip-syncing 9 year old girl. If they are underage, then they should definitely be disqualified. I say that for any underage athletes from any country.
