Christian Metal- August Burns Red, Becoming the Archetype, Demon Hunter, Destroy the Runner, Extol, Haste the Day, Inhale Exhale, Living Sacrifice, Norma Jean, Oh Sleeper, The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath ( list anymore if u can think of them) What do think about those christian metal bands and others? What type of metal would you put most christian metal groups into, do you like there music, their lyrics, etc.?
I think that it's better than old church songs, my church only plays Christian Rock and Christian Metal, because people hate the bland church music that is played at many churches, so I believe that some of it is very good, some are so good that the bands have tons of albums that make millions of dollars.
i listen to some skillet, flyleaf, and demon slayer. but in general, i believe that Christian metal isn't very respectful to God. that's just my opinion..

and armor_warrior, i dont think this is right. i know many churches that do this, and all of my friends attend churches that do. but i think this is bending God to fit your life, you should bend your life to fit God.
What is God's Music style? I think you need to seriously consider this fact before downing on other Christians. I beseech you to find some where in the bible where the musical style for Christianity/Judaism(if its OT) is described for us all to use. Then i suggest you try to figure out what exactly worship is, then ask yourself, does Christian metal fit these parameters?
I don't really like it. I think that it focuses more on the music, and subtracts more from the worship of God. Sure it talks about God, but after some guitar solos and heavy drums, it takes your mind off the message the it is really trying to convey.
I think that any praise is just as pleasing to Jesus as any other, he wants our worship so does it matter what music it is? I believe that there is nothing in the bible that says that we can't worship in our own ways after all, do you think that Jesus cared how he died?
I think it is retarded i mean seriacly what would God think of someone yelling and dancing like there mentally ill or something i am tottaly against it. And i think that if you are in church it is like Gods house you should keep it the nice quit plase were people come to pray and sing togheter.
yeah russianfreak, i think church should be kept respectful and reverent. and armorwarriori'm not trying to down other christians, eyetwitch, i was saying that i disagreed and why i disagreed. fair enough i think.. i believe that, like steevo15 said, the metal focuses more on the music. i think music worshipping God should be reverent and peaceful.
Its lame. They all sing about being religous and it just doesnt go, they belong singing psalms at Salvation Army.
Yeah christian rock is really retarded too. My friend talks about this band called Crimson Thorn ? He likes to lie about (everything) so Im not sure if its real.
Ooh! I was reading these and I think its lame how people !!(-CLAIM)!! to be atheist! Its almost as sad as the Christian metal. Slipknot is Satanic but that doesnt mean they're not good, I am NOT an atheist, I go to church on Sundays and I do volunteer stuff too. So (on page 1) 'atheist' people, dont lie and pyro....just chill. You dont seem like an actual christian.....
