First, I will post the overall rules, and then I will post the specifics about this week.

Original rules, as stated by Ubertuna:

It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).


Also:

The poem must be created for this contest
A user cannot win two weeks in a row (though everyone is welcome to submit every week!)
Only one submission per user will be accepted

As we all know, the winner will recieve a merit, and their poem will be featured on the _Poetry_ page.


OK, on to this week's topic...Again, we are having a style instead of a theme. Also, this week we are having TWO WEEKS to do it, instead of the usual one. Why? Because this will be an EPIC poem. Or, rather, a parody of an epic poem. Generally, epic poetry is very long, and tells the serious story of a heroic figure. Well, this week, the epic figure is YOU! Write a long poem (I'll leave the definition of 'long' up to you, but give it a good go) about the heroic story of you! It can be silly, serious, whatever... just have fun with it. You have two weeks, so have a great time!

Alright, here's my entry for this week:

Poetry is very subtle;
When it clicks, it's like popping a bubble.
Those who don't get it,
May choose to forget it.
They say it's not worth the trouble.

Woo! I bet I get the only non-whimsical entry. :P When are entries being closed again?

That's actually quite good! However, you went over the limit to the amount of syllables for the second line. I believe the maximum is 8(according to the rules by Strop), and you have 10. I would hate to see you lose because of a silly error like that.

The limerick thing is not over. It was the one before that, that has ended. Simply, its not over, you can still enter.

that's a unique topic, but don't forget that the final line should have a witty joke or something funny, or inappropriate.

Thanks for pointing that out mvpguy! I noticed that it sounded kinda weird, and was going to work on fixing the syllables. I kind of thought of the poem on the spot, and I've been out of town all day so I haven't had a chance to correct it. So, here's my corrected entry:

Zootsuit's original would actually read okay if you start reading the second line early, so I would also accept it.

Kinda hard to explain because the rules of the syllables aren't that rigorous.

Entries shall close in 24 hours! Then I shall judge immediately because it is marginally easier than previous contests.
