personally i think we are doing fine as long as we would learn how to fight like this they are driving out everyday practically expecting roadside bombs. they need snipers on point to watch the desert to keep them from activating it but we are in this for th right reasons

From what I've heard from friends in the Army and Marines, the media is painting a good picture. The Taliban still controls a large portion of the country, and opium production in through the roof. They all agree that we should be out of Iraq and in Afghanistan.

I don't see why. I don't think anything racist has been said. At least not in the posts I've read, which is about a third of them. It seems to me that most people are discussing the war and not the Afghanies themselves. I think some people are a little too sensitive on the race thing, or some people generally young people aren't acturally sure of what racism is. Read some of these posts and tell me if you still think there is racisim going on in this thread.

Okay, I understand what you mean now, but I don't think that racism is the word we should use to describe it. I think a better word for is is insensitive.

Well U.S.A made a picture to get people to go against Afghanistan because of the terrorists and people listen and will hate Muslims as well so that's kind of tight and religious-ism getting attacked because U.S.A made the big picture anti-terrorist-Muslims

With all this misinformation, I'm not suprised that you believe this. I personally don't believe any videos that I see online. They could have been posed or doctored any number of ways.

The taliban do not have any bunkers left. They were mostly destroyed during the initial months of Operation Telic in 2001. There have been many positive signs in the recent weeks. The Iraqi security forces recently declared control over once the most dangerous province in Iraq. The combined British,US,Dutch,Canadian,French and Australian force recently delivered the 3rd and all important hydro electric engine to the Kajaki( I think) dam, which will provide all the power to Helmand and its neighbouring province. However there have also been major setbacks. The Taliban are getting closer and closer to the capita which is a bad sign and the general morale with coalition ground forces is low. Although i hope this dam businss marks the beginning of the end otherwise this could drag on for many more years to come.

What are you talking about Woody? How are the Taliban and the Iraqi security forces situation in any way related except for the fact that the US is involved in both?
