If your in band post it here. Please post what instrument you play,how good you are,and your favorite piece to play. I Play Trumpet,Im The 3rd Best in the class,my favorite piece to play is Iron Man. Or Hard Rock Blues.

@Ninjacube: I bet you that I could teach you a thing or two about trombone, i don't play it, but I've been around them since middle school, and am around them during my current college years.
I actually own a trombone and can play it quite well. I play it in our jazz band. @cracker I don't think it was meant to be about being a nerd or not. If it was then other people would've defended themselves like you did.
I'm sad about this. I can prove that half of the users here are in the nerdy category (or at least around there) and yet they are too embarrassed that they play an instrument. And what's even worse, they think that all band people are considered nerds. That's not true? What about people that just plain like music and likes to play it? It's called being a music artist. Sheesh back in the day they thought you were amazing that you could play an instrument because it was so hard.
My school's policy was: if you participate in extra-curricular activities, you are normal, or cool. If you are in a band, you are a nerd or geek. If you are in a band AND participated in EC activities, you are normal/ cool. If you are participating in Jazz Band or in music related EC activities you are cool. If you do jack diddly in school, you are a nerd and lazy person.
I play all brass instruments...although I am best at Trumpet...then comes Trombone, Euphonium/Baritone, Tuba, French Horn I'm the third best at playing the trumpet at my school with over 2000 kids...
Clarinet has the same key as trumpet, yet has different embouchure than Trumpet. And it doesn't show your age, so i have no clue if you are in Middle school or not
