If your in band post it here. Please post what instrument you play, how good you are,and your favorite piece to play. I Play Trumpet,Im The 3rd Best in the class,my favorite piece to play is Iron Man. Or Hard Rock Blues.
you play clarinet?! that's awsome!!! it's nice to meet other clarinet peoples. my teacher is making us memorize every major scale before we get any music.=(
@evilsmileyface: what do you mean he is asking you to memorize them?...do mean like what are the accidentals in each scale?...you could use a circle of fifths for that you know...
well, you are actually lucky right now you know...there is only one type of scale in the majors (TTstTTTst) ... but once you get into minors, there's three types of them (melodic, harmonic, and natural) :P
I'm the best percussionist in my class period.(cause I used to take piano lessons, and my grandparents forced me to learn how to play the snare drum :P)
My favorite piece(for piano) is 'Apologize'...but when I learn how to play 'Piano Man', that will be my favorite.
i think everyone has.....mayb....i learned it in elementary school with my like 200-year old music teacher which i strongly hate....middle skool is better
what we do is they will tell us to play 1 of the 12 scales then we get tested.it's not really hard just annoying 'cause it seems the trumpets can't play. and we are having to do pitch bending and breathing.
Yeah i started the post. I just wanted to put that I dont want you to post if your not in band. And no mean comments because we know your jealous becauuse we have talent you cant grab the concept of.

air, air, air, air, air. Air is the answer to all your problems. Air, and NO back pressure. I find many people use back pressure to play the high notes and to "think" they sound better. I made a 7th grader section leader in the middle school concert band because I showed him how to properly play a trumpet, by using as much air as they can possibly gather and play the trumpet with no back pressure. Sure enough his tone was as good as a high school trumpeter. After a few practice runs, he was section leader in middle school and he thanked me for my time.
If memory serves, he now is a sophomore in high school and is playing Group I solos.
This was back when I was in my second year of college, so it was around 3-4 years ago.
