Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Wow, it was kinda big... Anyway, Scarblade, you made that in April, which means it is disqualified for not being made for the theme. So, make a new one following the theme, submit it, and it will be in.
Well hopefully you don't find this inappropriate.. I was going to give her clothes, but after I drew her I couldn't think of what she should wear....so I left it >.>
As usual in this competition I apologise sincerely... but anyway for somereason a dodo was the first thing I thought of for "wings" but when I realsied it I realsied the whole wing thing was kinda pointless.
Thanks (to you and other who commented). Mocking myself for making such an entry when I am the judge. I have working on it for 12+ hours since the theme was official... And it is pretty much a waste of time.
Well, redid the rocks, redid three wings, redid the water twice, repainted the guy twice before starting.. 12+ hours since the theme got official... I think, what I enjoyed was the learning process, not so much simply drawing it. And the brush I used was rather nice.
Plus, people get to see some more of your drawings :C

Thank you. Yours is rather well done as well, been through the trouble myself with mouse and, well, paint. If you are working with paint shop, you should use the line tool, it makes the lines rather nice and smooth, at least after some practice.

yeah I'm rusty because I really don't use it too much anymore, I just draw by hand mostly. I have a lazer mouse thing and sometimes it jerks around and other times it refuses to do round shapes...next time I'll have to do an entry by hand. =)
