This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Once again I have left myself out of judging. There will only be a winner though because there aren't many entries.
Da winna mon: Hectichermit *crowdgoeswild*. It is a very good war horse. I like the overall design of the armor, though the chestplate just seems to be sticking on to that horse. I hate to say this because I know it was tedious but I wouldn't of made the chainmail. Some extra plates of armor instead of the chainmail would of been a probable good alternative. Some straps connecting the armor, some reins, and maybe s saddle to further show that it is getting ready for battle. Some extra armor detail, the nuts and bolts...any way good job Hectic. ------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone else is a winner (for trying).
Parrot's: Yeah, it turned out pretty good. I like how the colors blend pretty well. Some extra detail on the face would of been nice. The background is kind of meh, a green forest I guess. Also, the chest should probably be more of a vertical line at where you have it, if you draw the rest of the body it would be a stunted horse :O
Zega's: >:O you couldn't even try to make a horse? Well, is that a fence? Why are the sun beams black, it really has an effect on making the picture look dim even though the sun is right there. The fence(?) could be casting shadows, and I know you can make shadows.
Crimson's: Nothing really new to add since these are the familiar cast of characters. They do seem to have a very good 3D effect this time, good job their. It is a hybrid eh? Wonder what the normal one does...
Goumas's: Pretty well drawn horses, could of been better with the coloring though. Hmm, why green?
Pixie's: Pretty cool idea, I love background sunset. However I would probably vomit if I saw that horse when it wasn't silhouetted lol ------------------------------------------------------------ Mine: Forgot to add the title: Last Ride for the Rebels. The scanner really managed to not pick up some of the shading >:|
hehe theres no chess plate its more like a shoulder plate...well chainmail looks cooler then plate and is probably lighter too...yea I though about drawing the whole getup with a knight and everything then I figure its more about the horse then the rider....empty saddles dont look good and I like to think the straps are being covered up by the armor...btw wheres the gun for you rider....see those details dont matter....I wanted to add a background but it seem to take away from the picture
Duckling Pacmans?~ Happycute~ You could easily have done more to your entry, though, it's very simplistic as it is (that's not necessarily a bad thing, I just think it would have been more interesting with, dunno, maybe a simple line as a background?).
The pacmans didnt want to be trapped in the maze with the ghosts again,
Judging tomorrow. Yes? Yes. I think. I have to go over to my grandma's in like twenty minutes, which means no internet till I get back. Hopefully I'll get some other stuff sorted out, though.
Alright alright, just giving suggestions for eye candy...I did place you at number one right?
